Hello,

Using the las export/import tool for OC 1.5.3.1 and vqmod.
Export works, but when i try to import it uploads the file, and probably upon the insert it just shows me the store's default 404 page. BUT, page url doesnt change, in address bar it still shows /admin/index.php?route=tool/export...

Nothing gets inserted or updated. Vqmod log -empty, OC log empty, apache log says 200 OK, php throws no errors at all, as said in documentation, php.ini is adjusted as it should be.
Any ideas?
It worked with 1.5.2..

Thanks, regards.

Hi,
Can someone help me for importing an .xlsx file? I have product options which consist of more than 65,536 rows. Only an .xlsx file can support more than 65,536 rows. Any alternate or suggestion will highly be appreciated.

Regards,
The Export/Import tool doesn't support the XLSX format, only the XLS. Even if it did, the memory requirements for parsing such a big file would way too high for a normal web server.

What do you suggest me? I am just waiting for incremental import/export tool. May be that would work for me. May i know the expected schedule for release of incremental import/export tool?

Appreciate your efforts.

I get an error too, for some reason it comes twice:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 71 bytes) in /home/3/n/netzoo/www/system/PHPExcel/Classes/PHPExcel/CachedObjectStorage/CacheBase.php on line 130
Fatal Error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 71 bytes) in /home/3/n/netzoo/www/system/PHPExcel/Classes/PHPExcel/CachedObjectStorage/CacheBase.php on line 130

I have only 550 products, and no long descriptions. And I even tryed to upload latest version(my previous version was from 7/6-12), but it did not help. It has worked great before, and to my knowledge I did everything just as the other times. I used it last time 5-6 days ago with no problems.

Increase your PHP memory_limit setting.

P.S.: Before asking how to do it: Google is your friend.

Hi again!
I tryed to increase the memory in the php.ini file, first to 128M, then 256, 512, 1024 and 2048M, still get the same message every time, only with small changes in the numbers of bytes.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 5 bytes) in /home/3/n/netzoo/www/system/PHPExcel/Classes/PHPExcel/CachedObjectStorage/CacheBase.php on line 130

Looks like you'll have to change your webhost then. It appears your webhost never accepts more than 64MB for the memory_limit.

I got answer today, they could not set the memory higher for me. :( Is there no other way to make it use less memory? The file is only 400kb, I don't understand how it can use up 64M. How high does your host let you set the memory?

For example: I have 470 products now. What happens if I import a file now with 50 products, where id's and model are new and unique. Will I have 520 or 50 products in my shop? To say it in other words: do I need to import all products every time, or only the once I want to add? :)

My import shows no errors. all my items show up, but no images at all. if i manually add an image to the product, the file permissions are the same as those i batch uploaded to the server, and after i do an export, all fields - of the manually added imaged product - are the same, except for description and name of course.

in short - my images are not showing up.

I have installed everything and the import export button is now in the drop sown. It lets me export and the file saves. When I open the file it only has the categories... am I missing something somewhere? I have 30 products in my opencart?

Can someone help direct me in the right direction?

Thanks
Scott

How soon can you get incremental updates? Can I pay you to complete this now? I am converting from prestashop to open cart and I need my new site to launch this week, I ran into a php memory limit at 3K items:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1048576 bytes)

So I had my host bump the settings way up, cleared the cache and tried to import again same issue.

This issue here is that this makes no sence because I had my host change the settings to 2048mb. Here is my list of current php settings (VPS Manged Server). This is hwo they appear in cPanel phpconfig

max_execution_time 1000
max_input_time -1
Resource Limits memory_limit 2048M
register_globals OFF
safe_mode OFF
upload_max_filesize Maximum allowed size for uploaded files. 100M

Apache version 2.2.22
PHP version 5.3.10
MySQL version 5.5.22-cll
Architecture x86_64
Operating system linux

It may not work with the Greek Language, I have had several bug reports relating to that language.

Also, it's always worth a try using OpenOffice or LibreOffice Calc instead of MS Office Excel.

In fact I very tempted to switch over to the ISO Open Document Format for Office Applications (ODF) for future releases of the Export/Import tool, so as to have proper UTF-8 support and other improvements missing in proprietary MS Excel formats.

What about the post_max_size setting?
