Good day Open Cart Community,

I have tried to edit and create a additional Flat shipping method by editing this below files.
as i am using the Simple Registration and Checkout by Deeman (http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... on_id=4811) and his extension allow reading shipping methods from the admin.

please find attached 3 files that i have modified and it seems that despite this additional flat fee shipping is showing in admin (as Flat Rate - Normal Shipping), it status is ALWAYS on DISABLE despite i ENABLE it.

I have not touch or add any files in the Catalog section.

Please advice if these 3 files is suffice or i should do anything more?
can someone please assist and see if my codes are missing out on something?

many many thanks.

Jave

You never need to duplicate the flat shipping method. You just need to use the weight-based shipping method, set up a duplicate geo zone, and then create a high cost for each geo zone like:

99999:5.00

Or, you could use my Multi Flat Rate Shipping extension.

What version are you using? Did you click on the geo zone name on the left side? There should then be a Rates box.

No, as I said, you need to enter it in the format:

99999:5.00

hi Johnathan,

the idea is there though it is not very much ideal yet.
any chance for weight-based shipping to work with Free Shipping above X amount of purchase (with this VQMOD: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... on_id=5099)??

the VQMOD above show only FREE shipping option should the requirement is hit and hide all other shipping methods (since it is already free).

any idea?

many thanks!.

You're not likely going to find a free solution to this. If you want a commercial solution, there's Formula-Based Shipping (www.getclearthinking.com/formula-based-shipping).
