Call for quote if outside the UK?

Hi, I am looking for a shipping option that anybody who orders from outside the UK has to call for a shipping quote.

Has anybody got any ideas? I thought I could use the Flat Shipping rate which I believe I can change the wording but it will show up on UK orders as well. This would do but I was wondering if there was a better way?

Maybe copy the 'cash on delivery' files?

If you limit your shipping method to a geo zone that is associated with the UK, then all other customers should see the "no shipping methods" error message. You can edit the text for this in /catalog/language/english/checkout/checkout.php, and could change it to "call for a shipping quote".

If you actually want them to complete checkout, then you should use Free Shipping and rename it (in the language file /catalog/language/english/shipping/free.php), so that a 0.00 cost is applied to their cart. You'll have to then collect information and payment for shipping from them later.

I tried to rename the FREE SHIPPING in the language file but when i check-out it still shows FREE SHIPPING.

You sure you don't have any caching or anything like that? And are you sure you're using the Free Shipping module, and not some other one? Make sure you're editing the correct file for the extension you're using.
