The USPS shipping extension doesn't give Click-N-Ship rates. Instead it gives the more expensive Window walk-up rates. I have only tried this for Priority large box packaging (my box, not the USPS FRB Flat Rate Box), but it is quite obviously giving the walk-up window rate.

Looking through the options, there doesn't seem to be a way to specify for Click-N-Ship pricing. Does anyone know how to make this work, or does the basic USPS Extension simply not support Click-N-Ship? Is there an extension that does support Click-N-Ship rates?

Using OpenCart 1.5.5.1

Thanks.

My first thought is...that is a good thing. It gives you a little more profit so not sure why you are concerned about it?

Also there will be times when it calculates wrong - multiple items added to the cart that it didn't figure size/weight ratio correctly. That little bit of extra profit on some orders will let you absorb a little loss on others.

I don't use that module myself - I use ship by weight so I can set in my own prices (based on the USPS rate charts though).

The product is already expensive to ship relative to weight and intrinsic value due to the oversize box. I'd rather not have people abandon the cart due to shipping cost sticker shock. The 12% to 16% discount for Click-N-Ship rates is important for this product.

Okay. You could lower the weight of it slightly so it calculates the shipping a little lower?

After a little more testing and a discussion with USPS, it is clear that the standard OpenCart extension won't provide Click-N-Ship rates. Does anyone know if there is another shipping extension available that will do this correctly?

I am searching for the same solution. We also use Fedex, so lowering the weight would make those rates inaccurate.
Did the changes made by usps July 28 make any difference for click-n-ship rates? Any extensions being developed?

I'm not aware of any USPS extensions that would use the click-n-ship rates, but you could possibly use Hidden Shipping Adjustments to adjust the weight for USPS and/or Fedex separately before they calculate. You can also do adjustments to the calculated cost after it's returned, so you could adjust it by percentage as necessary.
