I am really sorry if I have missed the solution but I have been round and round looking for a solution to my problem.

The problem I have is this:

I have setup paypal standard payment and that appears fine as a payment method and allows a purchase to be paid for using paypal and then it returns to my site to the address below.

I created a product that costs £0.01 and carried out a trial order - returning url with payment of 0.01 and order number 12, were included in it, so it should of updated the cart ????? ... em_number=

1) On several posts it states the return address should be and this looks correct to me.

2) The information about the order is allso in the url and that looks fine but is it ?

3) The cart is auto-emptied after the return but nothing is showing up in the customers account about the order or anthing that an order has taken place.

4) Order is visable in missing orders in the admin

So to summerise, my site will process an order and payment using paypal standard, and return after payment is made but is not updating despite order info being in return url.

I installed 1.5.4 which on the face of it only has this issue with paypal standard, and if I have the cash on delivery module enabled, that works perfectly, and shows in the customer accounts area straight away.

I have now updated to latest version but the problem with paypal standard still is occuring.

I am using default template with no modifications

I have enabled Debug in Paypal standard Modual - No Errors are being reported

Help really appreiated as it a real puzzler.

I seem to be having a similar issue with PayPal Standard. I have the extension installed and enabled, and the status for different returns all configured (Completed orders = Complete status, Denied = Denied, etc.) and have it set to Sales (vs. Authenticate). (These are the only tips I've seen documented for people with similar issues).

I'm in Sandbox mode, and debug is on. When an order completes successfully, the debug message is that IPN status was returned as Successful, yet the order remains in a Pending status.
2013-04-10 10:23:59 - PP_STANDARD :: IPN RESPONSE: VERIFIED

Also, within the PayPal sandbox account, I have it set to Negative Testing On, and it still returns a Success message in the OpenCart error log.

I'd hate to have it implemented where the office staff has to manually go in and change the status.


Appreciate any help/guidance to get PayPal set up correctly.

I too am having the same problem. I'm using paypay standard on version 1.5.4.

I too am having this exact same problem with orders showing as missing. Problem occurs with Paypal, Google Checkout, NoChex.

I am hosted with fasthosts and they too confirm no IP or Port blocking.

I use Opencart for 2 websites and both have the same issue.

I also have another 2 OC websites hosted with 123-reg and these work fine.

Is there a work-around to get the orders come through as pending/processing?

Also, as the orders are coming in as missing, the stock is not deducting correctly. Any one else have this stock deducting problem?

Anyone got any other ideas/suggestions?
