I had the same problem with

short answer dont use the UK version. use just PayPal Pro

I put through a live transaction and it worked.

PayPal Pro UK needs looking at for sure, I think it's methods have now been brought inline with the US PayPro, so, not even sure a PayPal Pro UK module is required anymore at all.

I solved this problem. It turned out I had a space after one of my credentials when I had entered them in the admin section.

If you have a space after the Username etc it will be counted as innaccurate, so double check that.

It now works fine for me.

Hi All

This is my first ever post as I've managed to find answers to previous issues, but......

I'm ready to put my new Opencart site live ( and I'm just testing the PayPal Website Payment Pro and I get the message:

"This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration"

I have read many posts on how to resolve this and no matter what I try I am still getting the same error.

I have a UK Payment Pro account, but as suggested by everyone I am using the PayPal Website Payment Pro extension (not UK) . I have cleared my API 'User', 'Password' and 'Signature' fields and re entered the data numerous times but I still get the same error message. Ihave even requested new API data from Paypal and entered this as suggested by other posters.

Other things I have tried is to clear cookies etc.

Please can someone help as I have been going round and round in circles for hours and need to get this sorted so that I can start earning and paying the dreaded hopusehold bills.

I just finished dealing with a "Please Wait" spinning message and now that I get through that issue I get this. I have tripled check my api's, did you ever figure this out?

Hi Sorry guys to bump up a old thread, but has anyone managed to resolve this issue.

My issue is it has been working fine for 3 years using Paypal Payment PRO no issues the i recently opened a new account with paypal and then decided to change my API USERNAME PASSWORD AND VENDOR ID. after changing the details i keep getting the error saying my API details are incorrect. after hours of trying i have put my old details can into the payment module and that seems to work fine.

I cant understand why my old details work but not my new one.

can anyone share any thoughts on this or may be point me in the right direction. ??? ???
