I figured out what was causing us the problem - SSL Curl was not enabled in my server's Apache config. I re-compiled Apache with SSL Curl turned on and that solved my issue. Just thought I'd post that here in case anyone else was stuck on this problem.

I'm having exactly the same problem in OC 1.4.7, but my CURL is enabled already.

I notice in my PayPal account that payments are actually received, but otherwise from the actual store the customer will continue to see "Please wait" and the products will remain in the cart and the admin will not receive a confirmation message.

Thanks for any help.

okstated,

Did you ever find a solution? I have 1.47 and experiencing the same problem with PayPal Pro. It just says "Please Wait!".

The error logs say:
PHP Warning: curl_error(): 48 is not a valid cURL handle resource in /var/www/catalog/controller/payment/pp_pro.php on line 160

BUT CURL IS INSTALLED AND WORKING CORRECTLY!

Please help!

My fix was that my host provider's firewall was blocking paypal. I excluded paypal''s URL and everything worked great.

I am also experiencing this issue - SSL Curl is configured correctly on my server and their firewall is not blocking PayPal. My full issue is described here:

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Thank you,

Mike

Hi

I've got 1.5.5 and I'm trying to get Paypal Payments Pro to work but I also get errors, I have checked and cURL is installed OK.

Code: Select all

PHP Warning: curl_error(): 121 is not a valid cURL handle resource in /catalog/controller/payment/pp_pro_uk.php on line 144

Mine is now working OK, not sure why but Im happy with that!

Didn't get the Paypal express to work but I think that was because it wasnt converting the customer county to an opencart county

Mine is now working too, between PayPal and AT&T they managed to block the 1&1 IP address, stopping any payments being made!
