Let me explain say I have a product for £1.99 but you can but 3 of them and only be charged £5 as a bit of a discount. I have worked out that discount works this but after the 3 you add to cart it keeps the price of the product at the lower rate instead of raising it back up to £1.99.

So lets say we add 1 of product A

Cart

Product A x 1 - £1.99

We now add another 2

Cart

Product A x 3 - £5

Now we add one more

Cart

Product A x 4 - £6.99

Lets add another 2

Cart

Product A x 6 - £10

How could I make OpenCart do this kind of feature?

Thanks

Not a proper solution but as a quick workaround you could always create a 2nd product (let's name it Product A MultiPack) that says in the blurb is 3 of product A and set the price as £5.

Pros - very easy to implement
Cons - needs separate stock or manual stock tracking, doesn't stop a customer adding Product A in multiples of 3 and not receiving the discounted price

Alternatively, for a cost, you could use a module that allows packs of other products. There are a couple on the extensions store.
