Opencart again makes Huge Disappointment Vs Oscommerce the modules for Products and Quantity table are not yet comparable with Oscommerce.

I have used Oscommerce over the past 5 years and thought to test the Opencart they are best in terms of Design and New version updates and Bug fixes but they again shown the poor compatibility issues with the Modules and still lowers the bench mark as compare with the Oscommerce .

Hi Hydro

I fully check with both the modules as one thing is very much common in both.

Example 1: When i wish to add price for say Quantity 20, the Base price is only getting added to it, i wish to add different price for Quantity 20 and so on for 30, 40 and 50

So my Question is when i did the same thing with this Os-commerce http://www.kysecure.net/demo/demo/admin ... ibutes.php

They have facilitated with the Attribute value and Prices value i can add from the Admin panel for different Quantity

say for example

for 50mg -- the base price for 10 pills is $50

for 50mg -- 20 pills the price will definitely will not be $50 so this New price will be my base price + new value which i will define it from the admin say if i add $10 so it will display to me the final price

for 50mg -- 20 pills - $60 like wise for the next quantity

Similarly for Different attribute say 100mg the base price will still be same for 10 pills for 20 pills the New price will be added to it when i feed it from Admin drop down

As i have given you the link for oscommerce they have done just great job can we get the same module for Opencart as well

Many Thanks i am sorry i am not Saying your module is not good but if you add the Quantity price for base price remains constant for all Quantity thats needed to be change for different quantity

Many thanks i hope i clear out my problem with opencart module they are not with this

Many thanks Regards

opencart can do this pretty easily, it is just your understanding of how to add and subtract amounts that is the problem.

If you have a product for 50mg, you can set the price to $0.

Then your first option would be 10 pills, and you set the price for that to $50.
Your second option would be 20 pills, and that price to set would be $60.

Or

Your product price is $50
First option for 10 Pills has a price of $0.
Second option for 20 pills has a price of $10

Product Price + Option value price.

I can't see how you can say you've used oscommerce for 5 years since it does not function as you claim. It functions just like opencart does unless you have done some modifications to it, only it's easier to manage in opencart compared to oscommerce. I have built stores and done custom modifications on oscommerce for 7 years now, and it works the same way as opencart. you set a product base price and then you set the difference on each "attribute" those are called options in opencart.

You may also try for this.

Hi Alex. Newbie here.

How would I copy code from the backend?

Is there any way I can add an exact copy of that table style to an opencart site? if so, how?

Much appreciated.
