Display full prices in the product options dropdown, instead of +£xx or -£xy.

The buyer then sees a price when choosing an option, instead of a calculation -and you don't have anomalies like the £17 add-on product showing as -£31.
If the 'main' price could update a la 'Options Price Update' module, better still! ;)

There's a simple reason this isn't in effect. If you have two or more options, you CANNOT calculate the values for the dropdowns. Example

Say I have a computer for sale for £400
and I have monitor options of

Code: Select all

none -> +£0
19" -> +£100
23" -> +£150
Then that is fine so far, since I can make them

Code: Select all

none -> £400 total
19" -> £500 total
23" -> £550 total
However, say I also have a RAM upgrade option

Code: Select all

512MB -> +£0
1GB -> +£30
2GB -> +£60
This then presents the problem how do you show those in dropdowns since the combination of options is now 9, ie

Code: Select all

no screen + 512MB = £400 total
no screen + 1GB = £430 total
no screen + 2GB = £460 total
19" + 512MB = £500 total
19" + 1GB = £530 total
19" + 2GB = £560 total
23" + 512MB = £550 total
23" + 1GB = £580 total
23" + 2GB = £610 total
There lies the problem, how do you display all of those options in this scenario?

I do see what you mean, Jay. For combinations of options, you will be up a gum tree. Ugh!
I guess it's the one-size-fits-all problem: in order to cope with complex options as you describe, simpler options such as the ones I need (3 products, 3 prices) do not work as well.
This may have to go on my custom mods needed list, then :)

the drop down menu displaying +$/-$ is very messy on the eyes and doesn't update the main price
I have purchased the mod to update the main price but will still be left with the +$/-$ (havnt tested the mod to confirm it works)

I also would like to have the ability to have one product entered several times but with a different image to highlight different product colours etc, I have tried the mod for this but it breaks the "Featured" product display and does not update the selected image in the cart, in the cart it shows the default category image. (oc 1.4.9 F/Install)

This couldn't come soon enough for me
