I think only cold mugicha is good, especially in summer, there are plenty of different teas that are better hot. Since it's made from barley and not from camellia sinensis, it's necessary to find a different supplier, too much trouble, not worth it yet. Also green tea benefits strongly if you order from country of origin, it's quite sensitive to storage time. Not everything from first flush is processed right away, most of it is stored half-processed. When it's necessary they finish processing and pack it, so basically in most cases tea directly from Japan will have better aroma, more fresh. I don't know much about green teas from other countries, but i think this applies to all green teas.
