Hi

Check out http://www.homeprintstudio.com - my latest OpenCart store.

It is full of nice extensions, some of which have been rather, err 'tweaked'! A couple worthy of mention are the 'manufacturers slide' - which now shows the 'Designers' (sellers)! Also the watermarking, which works on jpgs, and gif images - something that has proved difficult to do reading posts on this forum! I could list all the extensions but it would take too long....... :)

The main difference with this store is that it has been comprehensively customised to build in a system to allow buyers to become sellers and upload and sell their own digital downloads (craft sheets in this case) and receive a commission from site owner on each download sold. Buyers can become sellers by 'applying' to become so from within their account area. Once approved, they get a nice new account area with enhanced features.

So, the seller has their own upload and edit area together with earnings and payments system so that they can see just how many of their downloads have been sold and how much commission they are due! Of course this is all captured. replicated and controlled from within admin.

If anybody is interested I will post additional images showing the custom areas.

The site went live last night (19th February 2011) so it has only a few downloads so far.

Please tell me what you think.

@florinsith

Thanks for the comment. The downloads are actually printable craft sheets for card making.

Cheers

Which watermark mod are you using?

I found a few in the Extensions section, are there others?

Which do you prefer?

Thanks

@scanreg

The watermark is a combination of code found on this forum and a tweak from dolrichfortich to get it working with gif images as well as jpgs. It performs well though !

great site, sounds like you put in a lot of work to make all ths mods. I was interested though in your main CSS work to have a background image that doesn't show through the central column. I would like to do the same, is it simple style change ?

Thanks
Bernie

1 slight thing with your accordian category menu, i think your categories should retract on roll out because the first category you list, has a lot of sub categories, and i have to scroll down the page to expand the next top level category.

I see this as being abit frustrating, would be better to have it retract on mouse out, so the customer can check the next category without scrolling the page.

Apply your background to html section of your css stylesheet and then add a colour to #container

That will give what you want.

EDIT: i wouldnt mind seing some screen shots of the backend btw.

Hi SXGuy

I agree completely and have asked the author of this extension if it is possible to make it do just that! I may change to another category feature if this is not achieveable!

Loved the colors scheme and the look of your site. The only thing I would double is to make the Categories list as mentioned in the post above.
The rest is just perfect. :good:

cheers

Nice one robster.
I was just wondering how designers get their money.
Do they have to ask you (and you have to do it manually usign PayPal) or they just can do it via control panel?
Are you using any ssl server (or area) for this site?

Thanks.
