Which version of OpenCart are you running?
I'd like the "add to chart" button aswell but \catalog\template\default\plugin\category.tpl dosen't exists in my OpenCart version (7.7)

nope. It uses "view=xxx" instead of "controller=xxx".

OpenCart version 0.6.5 uses "view=xxx". It also has a different directory structure, using a "plugin" directory instead of the "content" directory in the template and "controller" directories in the main catalog and admin areas.

For example, the file "catalog/template/default/plugin/category.tpl" (v0.6.5) is found in v 0.7.7 at "catalog/template/default/content/category.tpl".
