I feel the monkey is too small in the favicon. It would look better if you just use the monkey face as a favicon.

Not necessarily, though it's also possible just to place the turquoise and green circles as clear icon.

Looks very good but logo size and navigation is much too high. Think about people with a low resolution (like 1024x786)... half of the shop in the browser is "nonrelevant" information.

A webshop is a lot about branding. If your shop feels like a professional shop and a lot of effort has gone into making it special. If the shop looks like a proper company...sales will come. And sales is what matters. To me, if I am impressed with the shop intro (logo, header, colour scheme etc), I will scroll and browse the shop.
