Halo, salam kenal utk temen2 forum OC
nubi mau nanya2 nih, kalo oc ada mobile version nya ga ya?
secara sekarang kan rata2 orang udah pada pake smartphone jadi kita bisa punya
toko online yg versi "ringan" nya..

Kalau default OC ga ada versi mobile secara khusus, yg skrg sedang berkembang menggunakan responsive web design (@media queries CSS3).
Tapi sebenarnya, mobile device tetap dipaksa untuk load seperti versi desktop. Hanya tampilannya saja yg disesuaikan dengan lebar layar mobile device. Mungkin masih cocok untuk tablet, tapi kalau handphone masih terlalu berat.

Karena Model n Controller di handle server side, sebenarnya bisa bikin theme mobile secara khusus.
Kemudian manfaatkan feature multistore di opencart, untuk membuat "store baru" khusus mobile device yang menggunakan theme khusus mobile juga. Kemudian detect mobile device dan di redirect menggunakan .htaccess.

Teorinya sih begitu, tapi hingga saat ini saya belum pernah lihat web yang memanfaatkan multistore oc untuk mobile device. Umumnya masih pakai responsive web design.

Kalau mau bikin mobile theme, bisa di mulai menggunakan @media queries css3.
Untuk ngetestnya juga lebih mudah, tingga resize browser aja nanti tampilan site-nya berubah he3..

Kalau bener2 ringan untuk mobile phone ya harus built theme khusus mobile.
Layout-nya disederhanakan, javascript-nya di sesuaikan dll. Ini akan mempengaruhi kecepatan loading.

kalo beli themes khusus untuk mobile

lalu kita set up subdomain seperti mobile.situs.com
tetapi data2 produk dan infonya diambil dari opencart domain utama

lalu apakah themes untuk mobile kompetible sama adroid, iphone maupun yang lainnya?

Theme khusus mobile itu tergantung persepsi developernya.
Ada dev yg sekedar menggunakan responsive web design sudah ngeklain klo themenya support mobile device. Ya meskipun ada benernya tapi ga native; skedar permainan css.

Asumsinya mobile.site.com itu kan store tersendiri, yang terpisah dari store utama.
Prinsipnya semua / sebagian produk bisa ditampilkan di dua store itu.

Ya klo mobile theme sharusnya sudah support multi platform.
Wah, blum ada rekomendasi. Coz rata2 cuman skdar responsive web design.

btw sy coba pake opera mini sih udah langsung jadi mobile version..opcartnya cuman yah kaya template doang sih
masih nunggu modul mobile aja hehehe..kan lumayan bwt dikembangin..

kalo w*rdPr*ss kan udah ada dan integrated..

kita detect devicenya -----> kalo mobile ---> alihkan ke toko yang versi mobilenya :ok:

jago banget dah bang qahar ini. pasti udah pernah bikin versi mobilenya ya?!!

tapi itu bener bang qahar, kalo mau ngecek bisa cuman dengan ngecilin browser? (ngga usah test langsung di handphone/mobile devicenya)

Kalau responsive design bisa, coba test ini bro: http://getskeleton.com/

Responsive design bisa jadi solusi mobile web untuk low budget. Tapi kalau punya dana cukup, saran saya sih serius develop mobile version. Referensi bagus kenapa responsive design "kurang" cocok untuk solusi mobile web: link.
