hey boys,

what would you recommend when it comes to seo urls, i sell e-cigarette products. e.g

say the category is kits but i add more on to the url

should i go with www.mydomain.com/kits or www.mydomain.com/e-cigarette-kits

?

cheers!

The purpose of seo keywords is to use keywords. So do some research via google keywords tool for example and see what phrase people are using to find the products you sell and include those keywords everywhere you can. "kits" really says nothing, "e-cigarette-kits" a little better, but are people searching for "kits" or are they doing searches for "starter kits" or "starter sets" or something else? Only research will tell you.

Correct you said seo urls.

labeshops explained it correctly

seo urls are those exact words for your product reflecting the most searched words or phrases people type in the search bar of say google.

in google webmasters tools you can find the amount op searched words and you want to target the most searched word and put this into your seo url
after that you optimize your product desrcription to optimize for these most searched word or words

that is the basic of seo

The name of the field in the product form is "SEO Keyword:" - yes, it's the url, but it's first and foremost a keyword.

Gawd...so obvious and yet I have based my SEO keywords on the actual product name. May have to rethink some of them ;)

Well your product name should also have keywords in them, so this isn't necessarily a bad thing - just not always necessary to stay too focused on it being the product name and gives you a chance to get some extra keywords in there :)

Hi,
I have a question regarding the seo urls.
For example, i have a category named wall-stickers with a sub category named animals, and the products are: lion, snake etc. The link is wall-stickers/animals/lion.
Should i name the sub category for seo purposes animal wall-sticker and the product lion wall-sticker with the seo-url : wall-stickers/animal-wall-stickers/lion-wall-sticker. Does it helps or the first option is better?

Thanks in advance,
