Guys

New laws come in to effect regarding cookies and the use of them.

http://www.ico.gov.uk/news/current_topi ... rules.aspx

How will this affect Opencart, and has Opencart already applied the changes needed?

Will be a penalty of up to £500,000 for any websites which dont adopt the new policies.

As I see it we need a page similar to Terms and Condition where the customer as to tick a box to agree to cookies being used, if they do not tick the box they would not be able to proceed to checkout.

Updating the Terms and Conditions page is fine on its own, theres already a tick box there before proceeding to checkout.

if unticked you cant continue anyway.

Good point! thanks, shouldnt be too hard to just update the terms and conditions page.

Could someone quote the exact wording we would require to put in the Terms and Conditions to comply?
I'm not at all sure what kind of cookies get used, from my own cache I see language and currency, nothing more.
