Opencart hard to design templates

Not sure if anyone else has found the same problem as me, since the newer versions of opencart it seems alot harder to design templates

i am begginer in open cart and i am also suffering from the same problem. i want to create my own template and want to make different - different part for positioning module. how to get these position in module. and i want to create a section of emplouyee. how to add employee section.
Please help me.
