Hi, sorry for the newbie post here
but im really new here

so what I want to ask is
whats the different between opencart and some CMS +addon
for example: wordpress + WP commerce

is opencart a CMS?
because some people might want to integrate wordpress with opencart
and now, there is joocart (joomla+opencart)
I dont really understand what can joocart do, what can opencart dont
why do these people want to integrate it?

I think its more about what joomla can do not what opencart cant, when opencart is a component for joomla , you can use both programs functionalities. They are all cms , in joomla/wordpress cas the main content would be articles/pages/categories and on opencart products/product categories. If you are interested in your website to be mainly a shopping cart then opencart is all you need.

You could use the CMS module Qphoria (OpenCartGuru) has.

I'm using it and it works for me.

Opnecart is CMS. It's specialty is that it's a shopping cart. If what you are looking for is an online store, Opencart is for you. It does one thing and it does it well.

If you are looking to have articles, forums, videos, blogs, etc, then Opencart may be outside the scope of what you need. Or it may just be one of the things you need. That's what Joomla, Wordpress, etc. are for.

That doesn't make one better than the other, it's just what job each software does.

A good site for e-commerce advice.
