Hello!

I know it's great when you receive an email on your iPhone when u have an opencart order, but with all the emails that come in it's difficult to know exactly when you have an order without constantly checking your email!

So I thought wouldn't it be cool to have a mobile app with a push notification so that you can choose a sound alert when you get a new order?!

Any mobile app programmers here?!

other option would be an app that sounds different message tones based on email subject or from line.

I'm pretty sure there is something out there for hacked iphones to change the alert sound based on contact

I wish some developer from OpenCart would start paying attention to mobile commerce. As of now it's being very neglected...

Ive tried looking for a solution on appstore, no luck as of yet, tried a few email apps that claim to play a different sound, tried ipriority mail, over complicated, i cant seem to find any free apps that will do the simple trick of playing a sound based on where the email comes from or comes to or with a specific subject line, hmmm i'll keep looking!

Your probably wont find anything of use on the appstore

Most likely there will be a solution for Jailbroken phones on Cydia

I know I am bringing this thread back from the dead but figured somebody would find it useful.

One option that would be a whole lot easier to setup would be to setup another email address for your store orders and change the notification sound for that account so that you can tell when you have an order. Almost all the major smartphones will let you setup multiple email address's.

If you don't want to change the address for your orders for some reason then you can set up a rule/filter/"whatever your email provider calls them" to forward the store orders to a different address that has a different sound. Now you don't have to actually use this email address for anything other than a notification service. You don't have to change the store address and your customer's won't notice anything either. Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to set this up and shouldn't cost anything either.

I have this set up ase, and it works really well. My only issue I've had is when people reply to the order email as an inquiry, so I can't keep those separate.
