Hi everybody,

I really struggle to understand the complexity of OpenCart when it comes to coding. I do have solid basic PHP understanding and a little bit of OOP PHP (classes, objects and methods, etc). Meaning I can actually create a little bit of working code with this in my own little project, but I cannot work in OpenCart yet. Some tutorials I found were just explaining how to copy code, but I am looking to actually understand.

Does somebody have any recommendations at all, free or paid?
Any good (e)books, courses or tutorials about OpenCart?

The best up-to-date E-Books you could use is by looking for specific data from line entries: viewtopic.php?f=202&t=221869&p=810094#p810094 . With the PHP skills you claim to have, the returned results should not be an issue.

To break it down a bit, does this tool actually search for pieces of code (strings, variables, properties) inside files in a directory? Is that what it's used for? This would come in handy when searching for the origin of, say, properties in the system, is that correct?

Amazing, thanks a lot! Definitely going to use this often for a while.
I see it also integrates with Visual Studio Code so that's perfect.
