Hello all.

My boss wants to link our shop to his eBay store to keep better check of the stock and to reduce chances of their being situations where something is sold and not updated on other sites etc..

On paper from what I have read, Openbay pro might be the answer...but I'm wondering if anyone has hands on experiencing of using system, and what their opinion of it is etc?

Flicking around Google I have found several comments saying it doesn't work, but the comments were probably year and a half old, so it would of obviously had improvements since then..

Any info welcome, or an alternative suggestions welcome

Hi, i'm a active user/subscriber of openbay pro, and have relied on it for our stock control for just over a year. Its a good bit of software that now is a little dated and needs some feature updates that are not forthcoming. I'm currently stuck on OC2 and not upgraded to OC3 yet as I'm not confident that openbay pro is fully compatible to OC3.

It has a no. of features other than keeping stock in sync as part of the subs package. Some work well, others don't. i.e. the ebay listing template is a great feature once its setup up nicely with some custom html coding which I did myself, which means we can use opencart/openbay pro to launch new ebay listings in our custom template format to ebay once we add the stock to the website, and it all stays in sync.

The same listing feature for Amazon is hit and miss, so my work around is to list new items directly to Amazon catalog first then manually link the items to website to get them synced up

The search functionality within the openbaypro mode is a bit poor so we always have to work around it and also if (as its happened in the last few days) the API server goes down which then plays havoc with all linked/synced items that happen to have sold on ebay/amazon during that time. Means I have to manually go through all the sales in that period and manually re-link and update stock on ebay amazon and website which is now becoming a pain as business grows with more SKUs to deal with.

Openbaypro don't tell you if and when the server has been down, which is annoying so if it goes down temporarily overnight then back up again you may be none the wiser until a customer buys something on amazon or ebay that you no longer have in stock because the previously synced stock links have severed unbeknown to you.

Currently the ebay server is down again so I came here also seeking an alternative more robust solution, now that I have over 2000 SKUs so its harder to manage manually and as have become a Amazon MFN seller prime dispatcher, we really can't afford to start cancelling any Prime badge shipments due to lack of stock etc. (if openbaypro server is down) otherwise risk loss my seller prime privileges.

My conclusion is that openbaypro is good for a startup or business with manageable no. of SKUs, the pricing is competitive, but things can become more stressful when you start expanding and need more efficient search/sync monitoring features and when hit with server down issues

Hope my review helps anyone considering openbay pro.
