Where is admin?

I've volunteered to help someone with a store created a few years ago by opencartstuff that seems to be defunct.
I asked her if she had access to admin and she said no.
I told her to go to hersite/admin and request forgotten password

But when I went to hersite/admin it takes you to a 404 page not found
Is it possible that the store admin somehow resides in a folder?

I need to find out if she has access to her host then I will see where admin is

Could have also renamed the admin file

oh boy. that's more likely, isn't it. for security.
that might mean I can't help her after all.
