Is there an extension that would allow the administrator to view in the backend who has been sharing the site/products?

If you use addthis.com or sharethis.com or similar services and set up an account with them, you can see that information.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.2 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.

This seems to be an extra step. Nothing to monitor in backend?

Not built in, no. But the addthis.com code is what is used in the default oc template, so if you sign up for an account at their site, you can view the stats I think (don't remember if I had to change the code or not honestly - did it so long ago).

Keep in mind, add this is rather non accurate. You can click a share button, and without completing the share it will trigger a count up and log. Although not good for real stats it will make your items look sweet. Better bet is to just use Facebook itself to see real stats

This seems to be an additional phase. Nothing to observe in backend?

Thank you for the heads up, Dhaupin. That's unfortunate because I know other developers who use ShareThis. How can one know if they're inaccurate?

Well im talking about addthis specifically. Click a share action but dont actually share it, you should see it acts like it was shared and ticks up the count. So itll tell you "hey this user shared this" when he actually didnt, just clicked the share button then perhaps changed mind and didnt share.
