Hi,
I'm new to opencart. I've deleted top menu from my site and set categories vertical on left side. You can see here: http://www.tiptopmegashop.com/testocart/ . Now I want to set hover effect on the left category menu to see the sub categories like the top menu (categories). Please any one tell me how to do that.

Thanks,
Siddique

Hi Siddique,

The default Horizontal Menu uses the jQuery "superfish" script, while the sidebar menu is pure CSS.

You can apply the "superfish" script to a Vertical Menu and theme it like the Top Menu. It is not very hard to do, but please note that you will loose the "Active" status of the default Vertical Category Menu. By default, the side bar menu is able to highlight the category you are visiting, the "superfish" version will reset itself at every page ... unless there is something I don't know ::)

There are a few menus like this available on the extension pages (I have made a few myself) so have a good look on the extensions pages for inspiration, some are free too.
