Hello everyone,

Does anyone know how to easily stop google from crawling the results of using filters in Opencart 1.5.6?

It will really help prevent duplicate content.

It would be preferred to have a way of automatically applying it rather than manually entering each filter into the robots.txt file.

Thanks!

Enter the URL parameter in Webmaster Tools if it's not already there and tell Google not to index any of it.

I don't think there is easy way except manual entries in robots file.

I don't want to mess this up, can you be specific about what the Parameter settings should be to stop Google crawling filter results?
Filter tag and filter?
Narrows page content?
Every URL or no URL?

If they've been crawling your site already, they should have the parameters listed.

It doesn't matter what you put in (narrows, sorts, etc) and then just say No URLs. They give you a sample of what you would be blocking out so that you can double check it first.
