Is it possible to insert Image or HTML in the middle of the product listing in category view? I see a lot of trendy sites have a banner or module in the middle of the category view. Not on left or rifgt side. I see a lot of magento sites has this extra.

I think you should use a third party extension for this, or edit it manually in your theme files to add the product and category list code(tpl or twig).

Or you can try again using the design/layout and put the module or module html code on the top and bottom content (see attached image).
