wondering if it's a good idea to go with opencart for my next site... we'll be doing something similar to our current one which is www.boostinghero.com

i feel like i could use a lot of the features, but then again my dev might not be open to this idea

Depends on what you expect from your site.

It depends upon your requirements and what expectations you have from your site. Opencart is a good option if it satisfies all your expectations as i do not see any negatives about it as of now.

a good cart system is necessary if you would like to sell something, if you have a pure informational site it will not be necessary. what kind of site are you building? Can you share some details about it?
Cheers,
Jason

Going with an Opencart or not depends upon what you are expecting from Opencart and
what your requirements are. I hope that Opencart will be a great option for you.
The link you shared is not opening with me; please share another to have an idea about your site.
