Re: Spiders access in .htaccess

I don't know about your hosting package, but mine has got far too much bandwidth availability, but I take your point onboard. If someone has a limited amount of bandwidth then they may want to block out bots. My understanding is that no one can negatively impact your search engine ranking, otherwise...

Re: Importing problem

This will most likely a memory limitation on the server you are using.

I suggest that it might be worth looking into a direct sql import

Re: Spiders access in .htaccess

I don't really see the need to block any bots. What damage or negative repercussions do you think there is? I've looked over the link you've provided, but I still don't see the point of blocking them. Even if they are "bad bots" all they have to do is to trick you into thinking they are google or bi...

Re: What folder do images go?

Your images are kept in images/data. This is either by ftp upload, or using the image manager which is already built into OC.

However, simply uploading them to this folder will not attach them to any products, you still need to do this.

Re: Modules not showing up in the admin panel?

Which modules are you trying to install?

Some modules require that you add references to the new module to admin/view/template/common/header.tpl

Re: Page not loading after host, and domain move

At a glance, it seems to be theme related. Go to view source: you'll see this line: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="catalog/view/theme//stylesheet/stylesheet.css" /> between the "//" should be the name of your theme. Are you running a custom theme? I can;t say exactly what is wrong with...

Re: install.txt is always a mess.

It looks to be a difference in how cr/lr is read by your notepad app.

I suggest using notepad++

This could/should sort out the problem

Re: I can't change Price

Check both config.php & admin/config.php.
Confirm that both files are referencing your new database.
I suspect that the admin is updating the old database and not the new (or the other way around)

Re: Subcategories Images help

It looks to be an HTML error, rather than a missing image problem.

Is this a new theme? maybe you'd ask the theme creator?

Re: Use opencart as order catalogue

There isn't a guide as such, as i've not heard of this being done before. I'm sure it'll be commercially available should you want to put some funds behind it. :-) In essence you need to go through and look at each page that currently contains code, for example: for the main product page you'll need...

Re: Use opencart as order catalogue

There are many files that you'll need to edit to achieve this.
Basically you'll need to go through the files within the theme and check each of them.

Re: Install Problem - error "Failed opening required...."

Its probably the best idea.

I would install it on your host, then upload any changed files from your wamp directory.
BE CAREFUL don't overwrite either config.php or admin/config.php

Re: upgrading from OpenCart 1.4.8 to v1.4.9.1

Hi Si,

This will depend upon exactly how the template has been created.
I've not tried any templates from this site, but I am sure that the designer would have followed all the guides.
With this in mind, upgrading should pose little or no problems.
