Re: OpenCart Failing Multiple Mcaffe Security Checks - Pls Help!

Daniel wrote:To be honest the mcfeem is just an automated script that gives out false finds.
While this is very true if many many people will be using mcafee for pci compliance scanning. Passing the mcafee pci compliance scan should be a fairly high priority in my opinion.

Re: To reflect

myopen maybe you can scrounge by where you live on 10euros a day, but were I live and I'm sure many of the other developers on this forum live you would not be able to have a roof over your head and food in your stomach for that money much less be able to afford a computer to code on.

Re: Web hosts. Who's good and who to avoid

I will just put down some avoids. Dreamhost should be called nightmarehost I've had clients hosted with them that took me literally 4 days to download their sites so I could move them to another host. They overcrowd their servers till they run at dialup speeds. Bluehost can be the same depending on ...

Re: Do we really need this secretive code ?

well there is no question this module is not compatible with the gpl, but if it doesn't change any code at all then it would not be considered a derivative work. I do not however believe that modules that are not open source should be allowed in the contributions section on this site. Just my opinion.

Re: apostrophe in product name

this is because everything is htlmencoded before it is put into the database. Is there really any purpose for this? I would have thought so, mainly because HTML can contain lots of junk which could break pages being viewed, also if php was added, it could cause undesired effects. Matt well I certai...

Re: Do we really need this secretive code ?

If he is giving it away in the free contributions section I don't understand the need to encode it, besides the description does not mention needing ioncube or zend accelerator or anything like it which you would have to have to use the code. If you ask me this is just pretty lame all the way around...

Re: Do we really need this secretive code ?

did you decode it to see what it was? I agree this very much looks like what malware authors use to obfuscate their code.

Re: Per Product Image Upload

there is a commercial mod that includes image upload functionality. I can't remember which developer wrote it now, but a quick search of the forums should find it.

Re: Template simply not displaying

well it won't be every point release. usually you may just need to tweak a little something here or there, but 1.3.3 the template system got a major overhaul. There are a few 1.3.3/4 templates out there, but most haven't been upgraded yet. 1.3.3 was only release a week or two ago.

Re: One page checkout!

he's talking about the guest checkout. if you have 1.3.3 or 1.3.4 installed when you get to the checkout page choose to checkout as guest instead of creating an account or logging in and you will see it.

Re: Template simply not displaying

you are probably downloading templates that are not compatible with 1.3.3+ the template change greatly in that version and many templates have not been updated yet.

Re: "Insert" Product Page Load Problem

you may want to check in the admin under configuration->settings then the server tab and see if display errors is set to yes. If it's not then set it to yes and go to that page again. This won't fix the problem, but should display an error message that will make it easier to figure things out.

I thought the last he said he wasn't going to bother finishing it, cause it's not good overseas. I'm very interested in this as well. Many customers insist on having google checkout.

Re: GD extension need to loaded

GD is a php extension. It needs to be compiled into your php. If it is not compiled then changing the php.ini won't help you, however I suppose you could have a situation where it's compiled, but not enabled in the php.ini. If you are not hosting yourself you should contact your host and tell them y...
