Re: PayPal Pro iframe Responsive Design

Maybe a silly question, but why use the iframe version? The regular pro is responsive.

Re: Extension Sales

FYI, I hardly ever receive an email for a sale but sometimes it does weirdly enough. That's why I rely on the seller api.

Re: orders with "error undefined" after install SSL on 2.3 opencart

Hi Regina, I doublechecked for you. That fix I posted turned out, was for 2.2 2.3 is working fine on ssl with or without an old saved store url having http. Maybe if you turn on error display in system>settings>store you can see what the issue actually is. By the way Make sure you have a redirect in...

Re: Adding "costprice" "postage" & "RRP" into the product data

Did you change $_['entry_location'] = 'Location'; to $_['entry_location'] = 'Cost Price'; in exactly that way? Than it should work but maybe you need to refresh ocmod cache. As for displaying the other columns to the product.tpl, see attached changes to controller/product/product.php You can echo th...

Re: Extension Sales

It's been that way since the new website went live in Nov'16
There's a seller api (account>seller info) that posts the order data to an url of your choice. This is where you can have a script to mail yourself, save to db, etc.

Re: Blocking access to an admin page based on user id

I'm not sure if you added some table to map users to certain documents(customer, orders, etc) but the logic still applies. If a record doesn't have their user_id (matched by url param) redirect to something. OC3 has multi-user btw, might save you some extra logic.

Re: product description with no full stops issue

Try the controller:

Code: Select all

$data['description'] = html_entity_decode(nl2br($product_info['description']), ENT_QUOTES, 'UTF-8');
If the description contains no newlines it wouldn't work and you have to change the excel.

Re: orders with "error undefined" after install SSL on 2.3 opencart

Yes Daniel built in many Easter Eggs ;D This egg has to do with orders being saved with the url at that time. So with http:// if you weren't using ssl. Either change the database entries at oc_order, column 'store_url' or change admin>controller>sale>order.php if ($order_info['store_id'] == 0) { $da...

Re: Blocking access to an admin page based on user id

The admin rights are based on the route. Did you implement permissions on document level?
I think the easiest way is to compare the user_id in the url to the logged in userId()

Re: I get a 'Notice: Undefined index: route' message when I have a google recaptcha on the home page

Code: Select all

$data['route'] = isset($this->request->get['route']) ? $this->request->get['route'] : '';
Home doesn't have a route set per se which is why it will trigger the error

Re: Adding "costprice" "postage" & "RRP" into the product data

Why not use the unused fields such as 'location' and EAN for example.
You can rename them in the language file for easier understanding ->admin>language>en-gb->catalog>product.php

Re: Undefined Variable: expire

Came across it a few days ago as well after updating to php7.1
I did a quick fix:
if(!isset($expire)){$expire=86400;}
$this->adaptor = new $class($expire);

Didn't check what expire means in context or what called it, just added a default value of 1 day as it sounded like a cache expiration time.

Re: Setting up OC to use Office 365

It should be fine to use mail as long as the dns entries are all correct for office365 and your cpanel is set to remote mailer. Be aware that you need mod_suexec apache module otherwise you'd be sending as user 'nobody' which is not allowed on decent hosts.

Re: Journal2 apple-touch-icon - anybody used them?

I think you're missing the manifest xml
Generate all here easily: http://realfavicongenerator.net/
And add the links to your header.tpl
I usually drop the favicons in the root of the shop, eg in public_html

Re: Where can I find developer documentations?

I learnt the mvc concept initially from https://www.phpro.org/tutorials/Model-V ... r-MVC.html
It helps to understand opencart as well. Just take apart existing modules and you'll get it soon enough.
