Re: [SECURITY ISSUE]Empty folders
But securing websites (and NOT trusting providers) should be one of the highest priority. Because nobody can trust hist provider, or webmaster, or admin. What I am saying is, chose another hosting company then. By default, when a shared hosting or a VPS is created, it should be automatically secure...

With version 1.4.0.0 the language selector at the frontend shows the selectable languages only in English.
Should that not showing the languages in their native language (e.g. English - Deutsch - Someelse)?
Or did I overseen something?

Re: Invoicenumber(s) not correct according to EU law
Maybe in the country where you live, here it is In the EU (exactly AT). Generally it is your choice how you want to have the fiscal year - and that should be the same in the whole EU. For example Microsoft (US company) has it from the 1.9. to 31.8. So if I have defined my fiscal from (e.g.) startin...

Disabling fields
As with the latest (1.4.0.0.) version (i do not how it was earlier), I am not able to DISable some fields as admin. For example: allow me to disable the field Telephone, therefore new users are not required to fill in this field (which is done often with obstruse numbers). Or let me (the store owner...

[SECURITY ISSUE]Empty folders
For me the latest (1.4.0.0) has a high security leak: empty folders - e.g. try: http://demo.opencart.com/catalog/ . I mean every folder within the OC installation is NOT secured (if directory listing is enabled and no rewrite in the .htaccess is given). An easy fix for this could be putting an index...

Re: OpenCart v1.4.0
Invoicenumber(s) not correct according to EU law http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=7767 But it requires more work and thoughts than the code posted in that thread - and what about credit notes? Would be better if it could get it's own 'system', and when you complete an order (or ho...

Re: Invoicenumber(s) not correct according to EU law
Before this issue will be solved, please consider this: 1. fiscal year MUST not be the same as calendar year 2. depending on your invoice system (and to go confirm with it), let the user input something like a 'prefix' or 'suffix' (depending on his accounting system) 3. maybe somewhere in the future...

Re: v.1.4.0.0 - some issues
Many thx for your reply (and clarification). In this case - a 'developers' question: how does the OC project work? As I can see you have contributed some interesting scripts (like this language fix). How does a work like this go into the core? Is it generally accepted by the developers? Do they take...

Re: v.1.4.0.0 - some issues
Is it developers intation to show the language var instead the original value? Example: having activated German, but having not the latest translated version. Now the display shows me the language var (e.g. text_dashboard). But would it not be better to show instead this the original english text (a...

Re: where can i get a tutorial for development?..
@Qphoria
Seeing that you are a 'Global Mod' and doing some coding for OC.
But, a documentation of the API would be great.
Would help 3PD much better then only targeting to an installation (which is always a good idea, but not the best - and fastest)

v.1.4.0.0 - some issues
Hello to all, though I am new to OC, I guess I have some experience with that kind of stuff (as well as with php, MySQL, etc.) and CMS (like Joomla). Now to my points. Installed today the new 1.4.0.0 version, i can only agree what some others here said: impressive and good work! But (as always), her...
