[SOLVED] Paypal slowing down site

Paypal is slowing down my site. Checking the network calls and it is taking 1 to 1.6 seconds for their server to respond. I don't see why this is happening on any page except the checkout. I've turned off all buttons, calls, images except the ones necessary for the checkout in the settings page and ...

Re: Paypal sandbox question

Thanks for the tip on the error_log, and the direction to look with this error. I had to rebuild the DNS 'a' and 'txt' records, everything was gone. Do you recommend activating and publishing the DNSSEC?

Re: Paypal sandbox question

Partially found what is causing the issue, but I don't know what to look for or how to go about looking for a resolution. The logging code doesn't seem to work in that file...says "Undefined property: Mail\Smtp::$log". The smtp file has never been modified. All other mail function and noti...

[solved] Paypal redirect problem

Curious before I start pulling my store apart. When paypal is in sandbox mode, does it actually interact with the store orders and redirect to the success page? My payment processor does, but I've tried 4 paypal extensions and none of them actually process an order or redirects after the extension p...

Re: Best Opencart Reporting 3x

The extension search in the marketplace here is the absolute worst, so this isn't the result of an extensive search, but these three seem promising that I'm going to look into down the line. https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=marketplace/extension/info&member_token=c2260b9e5ccdc410c01161b7...

Re: Extension wanted for order admin editing

What you could possibly do, if you know a little about coding and have the time, get an extension that has the baseline requirements that you need and then just add in what you need (that's what I do when I need something that doesn't exist that might be too big or beyond my capabilities as a whole)...

Re: Extension wanted for order admin editing

I don't know, but if you are having something like that built, I would suggest instead of a notification to lock the order so it can't be edited...or even entered...at all until the other person comes out. Only a "super admin" may get into the order.

Re: Best Opencart Reporting 3x

@SelfSus, is your entire website slow, the entire admin, or just the module pages in the admin? Are you finding all of the ADV reporting modules contributing or one in particular. Just curious because I have the ADV profit and am not experiencing that, and would like to know before I get the other t...

Re: Password on customer edit in admin

I'm doing this on chrome not safari. Clearing cache wont fix the problem, just band aid it for the moment. I went in to CUSTOMER A and it had a masked password field. I then went to the twig and changed the type from password to text. Then I went back in on CUSTOMER A and the masked password entry w...

Re: Best Opencart Reporting 3x

They are quite good but we find them non-performant. Do you mean it doesn't do what you expected it to do? In what way if it's all detailed on their extension page (waaaay better than many other extensions I might add) and you can test it out? Curious because I have one portion and was planning on ...

Re: Password on customer edit in admin

There are two password fields, the primary and confirm in the customer edit in the admin. The confirm is always blank. But the primary password is sometimes masked and sometimes blank between different customers when i go in to try and edit, which doesn't make sense to me. Either way, I want to stop...

OK, I'll take that as something is wrong in the coding. I'll take a closer look, and thanks for example to look into. Thanks.

Re: email images

Thanks. I found this quote interesting:
"Interestingly, I've noticed GMail marking images as spam if they include links to images. The same email with an image embedded does not trip gmail's spam filter."

What's the best practice? Is it better to embed an image/logo in an email or link the image back to the site?

Re: Popup window issue

@JNeuhoff - That information isn't provided because the issue doesn't really have anything to do with any of those things (and I'm not posting my site here). I'm more looking to find out if I'm doing something wrong and it's possible, if this is simply how it works for some internet protocol securit...

Popup window issue

I have a page that has a link that produces a javascript popup window. The problem depending from where the visitor clicks, this particular page itself can be a popup window. And when that happens, the popup window link on the page leads to a blank page unless ctrl is held down while clicking it. Is...

Re: Checking out a dat file

I don't need this anymore, coded something else in a couple lines instead of using a mod this size. But my general questions about the dat file still stand.

Also, is the database table used for the customer online report used for anything else within OC?
