Re: Upgrade from 2.0.0 to 2.2.0

Well, if the development team put together a correct upgrade there would not be a need... You really should complain to them. Again, you have a choice NOT to take advice or read the posts... It is your choice...

Re: Upgrade from 2.0.0 to 2.2.0

It's simple - Because I can... There are different ways to do thing. Are you suggesting only one way, with no choices? That would be very bad way of doing things, no new ideas allowed... Where would technology be if that were the case? Once doctors agreed that smoking was NOT bad for your health... ...

Re: Changes made to correct issues in OpenCart for v2.1.0.x

VQMOD for OpenCart
VQMOD Manager

Two separate and distinct pieces of software. This is why it is VERY important to use the correct terminology as I have done in an attempt to avoid mistakes, confusion and guessing. You should use both pieces of software...

Re: Changes made to correct issues in OpenCart for v2.1.0.x

VQMOD is NOT VQMOD Manager. If you don't use the correct terminology there will be confusion in the answer... I don't like guessing ???

Re: Upgrade from 2.0.0 to 2.2.0

Hi rick1997, Don't use the default upgrade it does not work and is unpredictable (except the no working part). BTW, you should not go to v2.2.0.0 it is not production ready yet. Only go to v2.1.0.x and apply the fixes and you should have a stable system. All the information that you need to get it w...

Re: Solution for "error undefined" message in V2.2.0.0

Hi makdykstra, All the fixes that I have for for v2.2.0.0 are here: Migrating your data from OpenCart Version 2.1.0.x to Version 2.2.0.0 (TEST ONLY) Don't let the title fool you. Unfortunately v2.2.0.0 cannot be totally made to go HTTPS without problems and some extensive code changes. v2.2.0.0 is n...

Re: Changes made to correct issues in OpenCart for v2.1.0.x

Are you also using VQMOD Manager? Is that where you found the error?

In the XML file this is set to ignore if it cannot make the change so in this file it is OK. All the theme template files would not need this change.

Re: Changes made to correct issues in OpenCart for v2.2.0.x

Yes, If you have VQMOD it is not much of an issue since it stores no information in the database about the MOD but the MOD may store information (not so much a problem), so it will not affect the conversion, however if you use OCMOD you will have problems if you let them stay. So I would export the ...

Re: Changes made to correct issues in OpenCart for v2.2.0.x

Yes, as for any upgrade will never upgrade your MODS. Your MODS may be incompatible with the new software so it is best to uninstall them and re-install the updated MOD if one is available. An upgraded MOD may not be available and the old MOD may cause issues with the operations of OpenCart and why ...

Re: Multi-sites

I still don't understand you are using vague terminology... Like "When I add your second store" When you add it to what? How? You have to be very detailed and exact to get detailed and exact answers.

Re: Changes made to correct issues in OpenCart for v2.1.0.x

I don't understand what you mean... You can use VQMOD manager to see which XML file are not being applied or are having problems with installation. If your files have been changed by you then you should have kept a record of those changes to aid in moving forward, this is where VQMOD shines. If you ...

I still don' t get what you mean... OpenCart supports more than one store and you keep referring to sites which are two very distinct things. Using the incorrect terminology will send everyone in the wrong direction... What exactly do you mean?
