Re: set opencart .htaccess to work in a subdomain

1. your subdomain needs to point to the root folder for opencart 2. You need to change the URLS in the config.php files in the root and admin folders). Re: 2.0.3.1 to 2.3.0.2

You can upgrade your Opencart - following instructions in their documentation (do a search) or there are extensions to export and import product data that will make it quite simple.
Whatever version you upgrade to also be sure to check the bug list etc.

Re: Need Category page to show sub-category products

Hi Dave,

Have you thought to put the products into both the parent AND the child category. I believe they should then show in both places. You may end up with two URLS for each product that affects SEO, but there are definitely good extensions o manage that.

Re: Product category with custom link

You could familiarise yourself with JQUERY (which is included with Opencart for its responsive Bootstrap framework). Its possible to create a 'dummy product' and then have JQUERY replace the 'real link' to the product page with your 'dummy link' as the page loads. If not JQUERY - Javascript would be...

Re: Customize order invoice

Its really a matter of following the opencart architecture and coding - if you want to do yourself. But there are a lot of extensions that are designed to customise various documents so possible/likely someone has done it already.

Re: Seperate products or product with options?

Easiest is separate products. However the key is to consider two additional issues: 1. Making it simple for your customers to find the product and buy... for most people selecting the product and then the size cuts down on the complexity and time to find a product 2. Search Engine Optimisation - hav...

Google Experiments

I am needing to run Google Experiments. It necessitates deploying code in the <head> of specific page. Whilst I could come up with and write the code to do so it would be much better to have an extension to manage this inside Admin for multiple customers - to make it easy. Experiments is part of Ana...
