Re: Empty transactions in Recurring payments

Thanks for the information. Just to be clear, having the unit price and total reflect the price of the recurring profile is technically feasible, correct? Meaning we don't have to put some hack into place because of some limitation of the OpenCart architecture, right?

Re: Empty transactions in Recurring payments

Well if you look at it from different screen sizes you will immediately see the issue. I guess I look at the bigger picture and people assume the device they are using is the one everyone sees. On smaller screen size the recurring/sub-total/total may not even be visible. And then in the shopping car...

Re: Empty transactions in Recurring payments

I know the recurring part is updated and reflects the cost, I did test that. I am just concerned about the shopping cart showing $0.00 for unit and total price. That will only create support issues for me as well as people just abandoning the cart because they will be confused.

Re: Empty transactions in Recurring payments

I didn't test drive, I am sure it works, I am not worried about that part. I am concerned about unit price and total. I know for sure that is going to confuse customers. Is that something that can be changed/fixed?

Re: Empty transactions in Recurring payments

Excellent. Do you think this extension fully support one time subscriptions? When I added it to the cart and proceeded to view the cart, the unit price and total were both $0.00.

I don't currently use PayPal but thanks for the info as it could be important in the future.

Re: Empty transactions in Recurring payments

I was just asking if it supports images like an actual product listing does. Even though it isn't a tangible product there is always the need for marketing images on anything you sell.

Awesome, this looks to be just what I need. Does it support images, like products do?

Re: Empty transactions in Recurring payments

Right I may just want to sell the profile. The part I do not understand about OpenCart and recurring profiles is that you need to attach it to a product. I get the part about attaching it to a product, but say the product is "Wireless Plan Monthly", and then I attach these recurring profiles: $37.00...

Re: Empty transactions in Recurring payments

Hi, Glad you got it sorted and yes, PP takes time to get to know :) Just to inform, I made a couple of improvements myself for the recurring profiles. They are listed, amongst others, here: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=extension/extension&filter_username=artcore Not all are for OC2 yet, ...

Re: Add code after order is successfully processed

After combing through more code I believe you are correct in using post.order.history.add event. My only dilemma is knowing this is a new order because I only need to make my 3rd party API call once when the order is initially placed. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone has insight on how this...

Re: Add code after order is successfully processed

I also found this page and for my situation when an order is placed I only need to call out to my 3rd party service once so it seems like the event I want to use is post.order.add. Does that sound correct?

Re: Add code after order is successfully processed

Thanks Q! I wanted to add the event system to the reply as well but haven't played with it yet. From what I read you have to register the event first in the db. How would you do this with vQmod? In a module you can use the install() @artcore, I found this great tutorial on how to use event triggers...

Re: Add code after order is successfully processed

Somehow my original reply to this thread never made it but artcore is correct. and yes he meant order status id it should also be noted that in OpenCart 2.x we have a new event trigger system that lets you add code as events. In this case the event would be: $this->event->trigger('post.order.histor...

Thanks, I think you meant $order_status_id, right?

Re: Add code after order is successfully processed

catalog/model/checkout/order.php function: ModelCheckoutOrder::addOrderHistory Add your api call right after when opencart is done... Maybe here: if (in_array($order_info['order_status_id'], $this->config->get('config_complete_status'))) { Awesome, this looks like the spot. Although I see editOrder...

Add code after order is successfully processed

I need to add code after an order is successfully processed and I need access to information such as the product they ordered, billing/shipping address, payment details, basically everything they enter on the checkout page. Is there one single place to do this that encapsulates all the different pay...

Re: Subscription Plans

Yes I have thought of that but will that work because the recurring profile is attached to a product and the product also has a dollar value. My thinking was that you would be charged $10 on checkout and then one month later you would be charged $10 more and then the subscription would be cancelled ...

Re: Subscription Plans

A subscription plan where the customer only wants to buy one non-recurring month is not a common shop solution? Maybe you didn't understand what I wrote. And I wouldn't be opposed to buying an extension if one existed. I was just confirming that there wasn't a viable workaround in OpenCart that I mi...
