Re: Loking for a order total popup notification at checkout

Rule-Based Banners can do this. It lets you do calculations based on total, and use that within the message that you enter. For example, you would enter this for that specific message: YOU ONLY NEED TO ADD ${100 - [total]} TO GET A 10% DISCOUNT Note that that would NOT give the discount itself, for...

Re: "NEW" Label on products

I don't recognize that theme, so you'll probably need to contact the theme developer about this. If anyone else recognizes it, hopefully they'll post here.

Re: Should I go ahead with 3.0.3.2 or wait for new version?

The only reason I did that is because the original poster specifically said they didn't want to use 2.3: Some people are even recommending me to move down to version 2.3.0.2 which I actually don't want to opt because I want to use PHP 7 and be PCI compliant which is not easily possible with that ver...

Re: Open outside app with user_token

Just to note, OpenCart 3 uses "user_token" instead, so you probably want this:

Code: Select all

user_token={{ user_token }}

Re: Open outside app with user_token

If the $token variable is still set in the controller file, then you'd use this in the .twig template:

{{ token }}

You can read more about Twig syntax here:

Re: Email template edit and ID reset

It could just have been your browser caching the image, try and do a hard refresh so that it reloads all images/js/css files. Also, keep in mind that not all e-mail clients will display images the same --- some have a max-width value set, so it will show the image smaller than it may be originally, ...

Re: Product delivery options

This isn't possible in a standard OpenCart installation, but you can do it with extensions. For shipping, Category & Product-Based Shipping can set up rates based on the products and categories in the cart, and display the relevant options appropriately. You can see a few examples of setups here: ht...

Re: Should I go ahead with 3.0.3.2 or wait for new version?

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking if I will fix all bugs in OpenCart 3.0.3.2 for free after 2 years?

Re: Should I go ahead with 3.0.3.2 or wait for new version?

OpenCart 3.1 has been in development for 2+ years, so there's really no telling when it will be released. If you have a project that has a deadline, you should go with 3.0.3.2, otherwise you could be waiting for another 2 years.

Re: How do features get decided?

I believe Daniel (the creator/owner of OpenCart) decides on which features to add into new versions, but in the last few years he has brought on some more people to help with stuff, so there may be more voices at the table now. Honestly I'm not sure, and you probably won't get an answer from the Ope...

Re: Australia Post issue

Try the following edit, which should remove the errors: IN: /catalog/model/extension/shipping/auspost.php AFTER BOTH INSTANCES OF: foreach ($response_services as $response_service) { ADD: if (empty($response_service['name'])) continue; That won't fix whatever new rate AusPost added (if that's the ca...

Re: Getting two geozone shipping options in cart

To elaborate on what the others have said, OpenCart can dynamically show the appropriate shipping option based on the customer's shipping address. What you'd want to do is: Add 2 geo zones in System > Localisation > Geo Zones, one for Australia and one for New Zealand. In the Extensions > Shipping a...

Re: Cannot download purchased addon nor contact support

That order status means the order did not pass automatic fraud verifications, so the OpenCart team has to manually verify it. If the normal contact form isn't working, perhaps it's due to a special character or something in your name? It sounds like a bug in their system, so try contacting them dire...

Re: Adding Featured Products in Homepage in OC 3.0.2.0

The route needs to be the page you want it on, not the module you're using. If you want it on the home page, you need to put this route: common/home I'm not entirely sure of your second paragraph, but I'd recommend familiarizing yourself more with how the layout system works in OpenCart. Here are so...

Re: Adding Featured Products in Homepage in OC 3.0.2.0

Your first step is correct. After that, you create or use a layout in Design > Layouts (which it sounds like you did), but you then need to apply the module to that layout. You do that when editing the layout, by choosing the module, then clicking the blue + button . Lots of people forget that secon...

Re: shipping from multiple warehouse locations

Ultimate Shipping can do this, though you have to divide the products up in the extension, either by making Product Groups yourself, or using categories, manufacturers, or attributes. It can also look at any column in the "product" database table, so you could use one of those (like Location) to se...

Re: How to create SEO Friendly URLs

OpenCart supports SEO keywords for products, categories, manufacturers, and information pages. Anything else requires an extension to rewrite the URL properly. For the basic SEO functionality, you'll want to rename the .htaccess.txt file to .htaccess on your server, then turn on SEO URLs in System >...

Re: Caching issues

I've seen issues like this from vQmod before, where it doesn't auto-clear its cache, so it shows old files. You can try disabling it or manually removing its cache files to see if that fixes it. If it doesn't, then it wouldn't be vQmod. Other than that, some servers seem to have some weird caching m...
