Re: vQmod fails to write to vqcache directory

chris.dempsey wrote: If I've done this correctly it's still generating cache files named from the root of the drive.
I'm pretty sure that "named from the root of the drive" is the intention. That's what realpath() does...fully resolves the entire path, and it's being called, on purpose.

Re: vQmod fails to write to vqcache directory

Your quick/dirty fix corrects the filename enough that it can be written to the cache. However it includes the full path so vQmod won't recognise the cache files representing when checking if they already exist. ie. cache filename is vq2-C_net_hosts_domain_htdocs_catalog_view_theme_default_template...

chris.dempsey wrote:Edit: you updated your post while I was writing this, so this may not be valid now.
Now that I see what's happening, I don't think my edited version will help either. You need to replace 'c:' with '\\' or '/', I think, although that's not ideal either :)

Re: vQmod fails to write to vqcache directory

Ok...I opened an issue on vqmod's github repo.

Sounds like you already know the areas to experiment around with, so I'm probably not much help at this point...I don't have OC running on windows myself.

Re: vQmod fails to write to vqcache directory

Getting there now... ... $cacheFile is set to: C:\Net\hosts\domain\htdocs\vqmod\vqcache \ vq2-C :_Net_hosts_htdocs_domain_system_startup.php That's it. Windows is unique in that ':' (a colon) is not a valid file name character. It's valid on linux/unix, and the vqmod author probably didn't test for...

You know what's not helpful? People that complain about free help. If you're not willing to learn, and just want the solution handed to you, with verbatim instructions, that's certainly available: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=partner/partner

Re: vQmod fails to write to vqcache directory

You could add some debugging to vqmod.php to try and trace what's going on. These seem to be the 2 areas of concern.... The name of the cache file is determined here: $stripped_filename = preg_replace('~^' . preg_quote(self::getCwd(), '~i') . '~', '', $sourcePath); $cacheFile = self::_cacheName($str...

Re: PayPal Standard refuses to send customer data?

Oh, also, you might want to edit upload/catalog/view/theme/default/template/payment/pp_standard.tpl It currently has this: <input type="hidden" name="address_override" value="0" /> If you change that to: <input type="hidden" name="address_override" value="1" /> Paypal explains this way: "Overriding ...

Re: PayPal Standard refuses to send customer data?

You could test and see what's actually being sent in the form post to paypal. Create a new file in the root directory of your server, called "formtest.php", and put this in it: <?php echo '<pre>'; print_r($_POST); echo '</pre>'; ?> Then, edit catalog/controller/payment/pp_standard.php, and just unde...

Re: 2016 - Why are there so many Terrible themes?!

The extension store requires a complete overhaul....In the “shipping” category alone, there are over 700 extensions available. There is no need for this many. It causes confusion for customers, and considering sorting by rating does not accurately sort the extensions, there is no easy way to find w...

Re: [RELEASED] Page Cache for Opencart 2.X (free, open sourc

Bumped to version 1.1.0 Added: Support caching https pages, but cached separately from http Support Opencart 2.1.x and 2.2.x Because oc >= 2.1.x eliminated the cart session variable, had to add logic to query cart to see if empty on every non-cached page load (regrettable, but the simplest solution)...

anyone?
The likelihood that there's an existing module that works *exactly* like some 3rd party site's checkout path is roughly zero.

You're basically asking for custom opencart development.

See the opencart partners page for that: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=partner/partner

Re: [RELEASED] Override Engine for OpenCart

I usually check for the existence of a factory class instance, e.g. if (!empty($this->factory)) { // Override Engine is installed } Perfect, thank you. BTW.: Can't you just use if ($this->cart->hasProducts()) { // cart is not empty } to check whether the cart is empty or not? Not in a pagecache, no...

Re: [RELEASED] Override Engine for OpenCart

Sorry, one more question. I will likely make this override engine module a requirement for our page cache module. As of opencart 2.1.x, opencart no longer maintains a cart session variable, which we depended on to tell if the cart was empty or not. Long story, but because it's a page cache, it runs ...

Re: Need some help with Resources Usage

The page cache works fine with multi-store, multi-language. Probably but not for language like French that use accentuated characters! Actually, it works just fine with French, assuming you change the default language, as mentioned in the instructions: https://github.com/budgetneon/pagecache#settin...

Re: [RELEASED] Override Engine for OpenCart

Took a look at this for extending the cart, but it appears that you're not fronting system/library/cart.php in the same way that you are doing for other base classes.

Is this correct?

That is, I can't extend the Cart class using the override engine, right?

Cart Session Removed

In opencart 2.0.x, there was a session variable called 'cart' that existed if the customer in that session had added something to the cart. In the 2.1.x release, it appears the cart handling code was significantly changed, and the 'cart' session variable was removed. This is bad news for the page ca...

Re: Need some help with Resources Usage

looks like the page cache is not for multilanguage/multistore sites unless there is something else I need to do but that I don't know Each unique combination of hostname/currency/language/url will create (or respectively, retrieve) it's own cache file. The page cache works fine with multi-store, mu...
