OpenCart Logo / Trademark

I noticed someone with a modified OpenCart logo:

http://opencart-oss.ru/

I just wondered if people have permission to freely create a derivative work of the logo?

...My guess is, "No." But, since I am an expert on Copyright law and don't want to assume, "Yes," I thought I would ask.

Re: v1.3.5 Soon

well while we are plugging our favorite cms systems I'll put in a vote for cms made simple it's ranked 3rd and I've thoroughly enjoyed using it. And before you ask no I do not work on it. I just find it to be one of the easiest ones out there, and pretty much the best templating systems I've ever u...

Re: Heres Mine

'Built By DesignTemple' not to sure about that though! Twiggy's pet peeve. Yes, it's not built by DesignTemple. But you could word it, "Provided by" and it may be more acceptable. Or just say, "Web-design by". ...Funny how people post links to their sites here on OpenCart and they have swapped out ...

http://sourceforge.net/ is one of my favorite places to go. And a lot of people like http://freshmeat.net/ , to find open source projects, like CMS', eCarts, etc.

Re: v1.3.5 Soon

...Go download yourself a copy of SilverStripe 2.3.4 and have some fun with that for a while, while you wait on Open Cart 1.3.5. :D Or if you're really feeling adventurous, download 2.4.0 alpha and have it a go. ;D You are totally merciless, I still can't get my head round CMS, simply because there...

Re: v1.3.5 Soon

I can't sleep, eat, drink or do a number two on the toilet. Lets put the download server under as much stress as we did Dan the man. I think this could be easily one of the longest thread on this forum. If it isn't released today i will wake up tomorrow upset, stressed, hungry and needing therapy. ...

Someone could fork the last available version and continue on. It's GNU GPL. I highly doubt Daniel would do something like that.

I think he means something like what is shown on SamAsh.com. This is the kind of impressive functionality that I was talking about, from that site.

Re: Virtuamart comparison with Open Cart

I took a look at Website Baker's SVN. They have fully demonstrated that they are a bunch of idiots. The trunk has not been touched in 5 months, yet they are editing - directly - the 2.8.x branch. What a bunch of morons. That is absolutely not the way to manage the project in SVN. The branches are su...

Re: Virtuamart comparison with Open Cart

In my defense, Yakiv, you came here spouting SS from the first few posts. I think we all already assumed you were part of the SS project. Then after seeing it and using it, knowing quite well that it is very basic and while it uses a lot of javascript and ajax, its still very light on features comp...

Re: Need to search multiple categories at the same time

But searching is done by product anyway. So if you search "ipod" it could be in "MP3" category & "Apple" category and it will still show up in a search. It sounds like "search" is the wrong word to use. Sounds like he wants to show multiple categories at once. But then somewhat similar to what Xsec...

Re: Need to search multiple categories at the same time

well I would imagine if they are not validly in both categories he wouldn't want to be showing them together, so yes it makes perfect sense. No, someone may want to just search within certain categories and not others, with keywords that may cross into both categories, but not forcing a correlation...

Are you schizophrenic? No, maybe you are? Stop making idiotic, personal (ad hominid) attacks. You ought to be booted for such a stupid insult. Why? Everytime someone defends the choice of some else which is not yours you come up with that line that there is a hidden agenda and that even some member...

Re: v1.3.5 Soon

I was excited when magento was announced. All the features they had sounded great. When the first release came out I put it on my local dev server and it was taking like 15+ sec to render a page over the lan. So I waited. They finally fixed the speed somewhat so I did one customer site on it and I ...
