Re: Buy as a Guest?

I don't right now, but I plan on getting one up soonish... If you can, I suggest just installing a development version of opencart and trying it out (or do it locally!).

[UPDATED] Guest Checkout 1.3.2.4.1

I won't be releasing a new package for this minor bug, but it's been pointed out that the email error message is incorrect on the checkout page. In the address.php controller replace this code: $this->error['email'] = $this->language->get('error_lastname'); With this code: $this->error['email'] = $t...

Re: Guest Checkout & Special Price not working

This isn't actually a bug, it's just that special prices are user group specific. When you set up a special price, you assign it to a particular group, by default account holding customers. To make this work with guest checkout, for each special price you have to duplicate the special price and set ...

Re: Quick Checkout / One Page Checkout - Call for Feedback

I would say that should depend on payment method. If they are using Paypal standard, then there's no confirmation, because Paypal takes care of all that (in fact, I think I'll set it up so if they select Paypal standard, the whole shipping/billing address area disappears). I suppose if opencart is g...

Re: Quick Checkout / One Page Checkout - Call for Feedback

Yeah, I did realize this and I'm interested in hearing more about how that works. Do you have an example you could point me towards? I think it would be easy to incorporate this on one page with some ajax calls.

Quick Checkout / One Page Checkout - Call for Feedback

I'm developing a quick checkout mod (one page checkout) and am looking for feedback before I release it. Below is a link to a sample form. Note the "Same as shipping" checkbox will hide or display a billing address section. Adding a similar checkbox for create an account would be fairly trivial as w...

Re: Guest Checkout

Yes, the easiest way would be to remove those blocks of HTML from your login.tpl and header.tpl that referred to new accounts and logging in. You could also change all of your "Checkout" buttons (I think there are only two of them actually) to route straight to checkout/address/shipping. I will also...

Guest Checkout Updated

There was a major bug in version 1.3.2.1 of the Guest Checkout mod that kept it from working at all. Please update to 1.3.2.2.

I suspect there may be a few more stragglers in there. Please let me know if you find any more bugs.

That's pretty weird... I don't know why it was removed, but I've reposted it:

Re: Guest Checkout

I know Daniel is working on a Guest Checkout, but I just did a quick one... It doesn't cut down on the process at all yet, but keep your eyes peeled for my upcoming Quick Checkout contrib which will be the best of both worlds. In the meantime, check out my Guest Checkout and let me know what you thi...

Re: Paypal Standard (+ Guest Checkout)

I should add I realize this workflow runs into some difficulties when you have to calculate shipping before passing off to paypal. In my store all prices include postage so perhaps that's a special circumstance... but this workflow does make sense if the cart doesn't have any items that need to be s...

Paypal Standard (+ Guest Checkout)

All of my sales are through paypal standard, and the majority of my users do not have paypal accounts. What this means is when checking out through the current system, the user must enter their shipping information twice. When using paypal standard, should shipping information be skipped all togethe...
