Re: ampersand in options text = cutoff text in order

Just want to let everyone know someone created a VQMOD that I just tried and it corrected the ampersand issue.

it's located in this thread (I searched the first time around and this didn't hit my searches, but google search found this):

ampersand in options text = cutoff text in order

I have a site where I sell products that can be customized with text. I have the text limit to 17 charters for the option, but when the custom text includes and "&" (ampersand), the text is truncated whenever someone reaches the 17 characters limit AND uses and ampersand. It works okay with an "@" (...

Re: [RELEASED] Request Reviews

Okay, so now it's working with 1.5.6, and I did nothing to fix it.

I did still have to apply the above Gmail fix to get images to display in Gmail.

Re: Notice: Undefined index: count in ....

Well, I fixed it, and I apparently didn't break anything else. What I did, is this: I compared the category.php file I had located online at /catalog/controller/module/ to the version that is supplied in a 1.5.6 download, and they were different. I uploaded the category.php file from the 1.5.6 downl...

Notice: Undefined index: count in ....

I get the following error, just by accident, as I was adding text to a module. I think I opened and closed the category module under extensions, and then BAM, it's there. Notice: Undefined index: count in /home1/domain/public_html/shop/catalog/controller/module/category.php on line 93 I am running 1...

Re: Duplicate add to cart button at bottom of product.tpl

I was able to get it work by the method supplied by billynoah. I am not sure I understand 100% why one is better than the other.

I need to get a book.

Thank you both!

Re: Duplicate add to cart button at bottom of product.tpl

The coding worked like a charm, and I have buttons at the top and bottom of the page that both work! Thank you very much. The style of the page changed however, to a regular button that doesn't match the rest of my buttons elsewhere: button1.jpg Old Button button2.jpg I attempted to change the butto...

Duplicate add to cart button at bottom of product.tpl

My products will have extensive customization options, which pushes the page up, as customers select their options. This results in the "add to cart" button being all the way back at the top, next to the product image. I figured out how to copy the "add to cart" button and add a duplicate to the bot...

Re: Move options error text?

nvedia, You are a lifesaver! I had to use slightly different coding on my product.tpl, since I am using a template for product.tpl, but this is what I did: I added this code towards the top, right above the product name coding: <!-- BOF ADDED FOR OPTION ERROR NOTICE --> <span style="color: #f00;"> <...

Re: Move options error text?

I understand that I need to modify the product.tpl page, but I've searched through the code and can't find code is it that makes the error message appear, so I can replicate it and put it in a <DIV> at the top of the page. I tried the javascript code above, provided by you, in a .div, and it did not...

Re: Move options error text?

Well, kinda. Right now, all the error messages appear right next to the options field that was missed, but was required. All the options are below the fold, so a customer doesn't know to scroll down to get the red error messages for unselected fields. I want to duplicate those error messages up top,...

Move options error text?

The red text that shows if you have an option that is required, shows where the option is, which is normally below the fold on a monitor. I want to move the error message or add a generic error message at the top, that tells the customer that "options are required" or "please select required options...

Re: Product Options Max Length

I meant specifically for the module which was abandoned and someone brought it back to life (at the beginning of this thread)

I believe the module only works for text boxes rather than text area boxes.

Thanks!

I can't seem to find where/when/how I limit the character count for the various text boxes or text area boxes.

Thanks for the help!

Modify Product Page Options

I've been messing around with my product.tpl page for a few days, trying to re arrange the options, so they utilize the full width of the product page rather than the long sliver of options. (see attached). Every time I try to move it, I get a VQ error. Any tips on what code I should be moving so th...

Re: add product to checkout instead of Shopping Cart

Thank you for this information! I don't know why this option isn't available as an on/off, as it is great for those businesses that only sell (normally) one item to a customer. I did make a change, and used this instead, so they go to the shopping cart after adding to cart, and not directly to the c...

Re: ebay display

Not working on my site either. When loading the home page, and the module is active, I get a quick error that indicates something on line 19 isn't right. Maybe same issue with yours? I'm not sure what's wrong with it though... it's calling "products" or renaming $products to "products", and it doesn...
