Re: Grabbing Mailing List from Open Cart

I also use MailChimp and what I did was download the YourBox mod here, add code to it for the signup form and removed references to the newsletter in OpenCart. You can see it on my site at www.karmacharms.com

Re: Correct Spelling

Meh - I changed the language file so that now it says Message. Now I don't have to worry about whether it's Enquiry or Inquiry.

Re: unique SKU o product name

Nope - before I add a new product (I have something like 700 in my shop) I run a check on the SKU to make sure it's not already been added... and if I have one new and one used or dinged or what have you, I just add a character to the SKU such as KC123 is the original new one and KC123u is the "u"se...

Edit order?

Is there a way to edit orders already placed? For example if the customer orders a t-shirt, size large and later decides they want a size XL, is there a way for me to easily edit his order to reflect that change and update the invoice as well?

Re: Admin comments and editing orders

Ahh but that's where you're wrong.... I am coming over from Zen Cart.. and despite unchecking the notify customer box, COMMENTS show on the customer's side when they log in to their account - they just don't get an email notification. To not show comments to the customer, you have to uncheck another...

Admin comments and editing orders

I was just wondering... do the comments we make in the admin panel on a particular order, show in the customer's account? I like giving my customers status updates via the comments (like when it changes from pending to in production to shipped etc) but I also need to be able to make comments they CA...

Re: How did you hear about us?

Yes but I offer discounts for certain groups, and if I could see directly who referred them I would know what group they go in :)

How did you hear about us?

Is there a module for this? I'd really like one, so that I can track where my customers came from :)

Re: Strange blog issues...

Yes, the permalinks system in Wordpress is interfering with the SEO urls in Opencart. You'll have to disable one or the other unless someone else here knows a workaround.

Re: can i add a fee to paypal payments?

Precisely! That's what most merchants do.. I personally just eat that tiny percent or adjust prices to account for it. My handling fee is because we gift wrap every order, tie it with a bow, and attach a nice card to each order and toss in a freebie gift with every order.

Re: Fully Integrated Payment Gateways?

Wow.... speaking as someone who LOVES what OpenCart can do out of the box and recognizing that I was able to download, install and set up the cart, which Daniel programmed and gives out FOR FREE, I was more than happy to head over to Qphoria's site and drop a couple hundred bucks on the modules and ...

Re: can i add a fee to paypal payments?

Yes, according to Visa and Mastercard's TOS, merchants who charge an additional fee for accepting said cards are in violation of the TOS and can have their merchant account terminated. That said, their TOS also clearly states that there is NO problem with offering a "cash discount" but you aren't al...

Re: can i add a fee to paypal payments?

Just remember that if Paypal finds out they can suspend your account as it is against the PayPal TOS to charge an extra fee to your customers for using the Paypal service.
