The authorize.net module would defiantly kick up the opencart hype a little.  Having to use paypal is what turns many people away.

You need to add this --> http://us3.php.net/imagesavealpha to your php.ini file or somewhere else.  I don't have any experience with GD but others here do.

2GB / Day is not too unreasonable .. My hosting plan includes 2000GB of transfer per month for $7.99 US.  If your only using 60GB and its getting expansive?? you may want to look into changing hosting providers...
