Re: Modul Mobilpay - card

Acesti parteneri nu ofera in general supor...

Re: Integration with beanstalkd

We have integrated the beanstalkd for most of the heavy stuff and the experience for the enduser is nice as they don't know what happens in the backend and the system looks snappy for them.

Google sitemap Extension for stores with over 50K products

Is there anybody there with an extension for generating google sitemap xml for stores with over 50K products?

There are some PHP classes out there that are generating multiple xml (https://github.com/MyHammer/LargeXMLSitemap) but I don't find any extension for Opencart.

Re: Integration with beanstalkd

I am trying to apply a price markup to the base price of a product. I have a module that calculates the markup based on a backend setup and inserts in the database the new price. This type of task we want to move in background. When the user creates a rule and applies it,everything must be instant f...

Integration with beanstalkd

We are having problems on a large website with PHP processes that take to long to execute and that affect the user experience. We are considering using a PHP queue system like beanstalkd in stead of cron jobs and such. Is there somebody that tried this? Any suggestions for a valid implementation? We...

We are also experimenting with TokuDb as database engine instead for MyISAM. ExtraDB was extremely slow.

Re: What is the largest shop so far, any scaling issues?

We have 3 million products and over 800 categories. The store is up live at http://www.autohut.ro. We are working now on some heavy optimization but for now is working. The server is on a VPS with 6 Gb of RAM. and 3 x 3 Ghz cores. We did some heavy modification to integrate the TECDOC database and l...

Re: Large number of products

Ok the store is up www.autohut.ro. We have around 3 million products and we did some heavy custom changes to the database but we used vqmod so an future update should not be that bad. I am looking into setting up redis for better performance.

Re: Large number of products

Not exactly there are still many queries inside the core that are not database independent so the existing database layer is not used consistently. This is way is hard to port opencart to an other type of database. It was a guy that tried to port it to PostgreSQl but with no luck.

Re: Continuous integration and Opencart

There are nice setups on CI for PHP and most of them work but it is big project to setup something like this. I think is impossible to work on big projects without a setup that can use versioning for the database and offer a fast way of deploying/rollback a new version of the store with new features...

Re: Large number of products

We optimized the database to match somehow the TECDOC database but we changed via VQMOD many of the opencart standard controllers like product list, insert products, categories and a few more. In this particularly case with so many products and cross connections between categories, cars and products...

Re: Restore vqmod xml from mods.cache

The file was emptied when saving it to the disk probably a SFTP glitch. The problem was that the xml vqmod was done buy us. I solved the problem by finding a an older version of the file and rebuilding the latest code. But I am still interested in a deserialization solution.

Re: Continuous integration and Opencart

The problem is not the latest version of opencart it is the fact that we have a big commerce site that we need to improve without affecting the live version and be able to push new features (some of them require heavy database refactoring).

Restore vqmod xml from mods.cache

I have a big problem, one of the xml vqmods that we are working on is gone the file is empty. We managed to save the mods.cache from vqmod and the vqcache content. Inside the mods.cache there is all the information that we need the only problem is that the info is serialized by vqmod. Is there a way...
