Re: Install Method and Table Creation

You can create a module and then hook the install / uninstall methods.

ex:

Code: Select all

class ControllerExtensionModuleMyModule extends Controller {

    public function index() {}

    public function install() {}

    public function uninstall() {}
}

Re: Out of stock item can still be put in cart. OC 3.0.3.6

It will still add the item to the cart, it throws up a notice and doesn't allow checkout.

If you want additional stock notices on the product, look for something in the marketplace or open a commercial request.

Re: Cannot View Orders 3.0.2.0

If it's happening on the success page then its most likely the payment module or callback from the payment module. If you paid for that extension reach out to the developer.

Re: Customer Password Reset Not Working

On my installation with OC 3.0.3.2 the reset link not working was caused by the line with the reset link not having a space at the end such that the "The" from the next sentence gets incorporated in the reset code. What php version? If you are using PHP 7.4 there is a twig bug that causes spacing i...

Re: new installation - could not find driver

Looks like pdo is not being loaded. Check your PHP install.

Code: Select all

phpinfo();
https://www.php.net/manual/en/function.phpinfo.php

and see what's under PDO

Re: Cannot View Orders 3.0.2.0

Its unlikely a : Undefined index: would throw a 500 error. You might have some other issue, check the server logs not opencart logs.

You might be able to use an event to achieve what you want. Depends on what you are trying to do?

Re: Delete orders from DB if I delete them on backoffice

Does it delete from the admin panel ? He means how many databases do you have in PHPmyAdmin. Check your config.php and admin/config.php both match the database name in PHPmyAdmin The delete function for orders uses the API which resides on the catalog side, so ensure both config files are using the ...

Re: Write permissions on catalog/view/javascript directory

What I meant was that the default owner of the OC directory (opencart/catalog/view) is root. So before I can install something, I need to change the permissions so that user www can write into that directory. You need to work with a web host or server admin, this is a server configuration issue. It...

Re: syntaxError:Unexpected tokenin JSON at position 0 when viewing a customer (and only when disable "localisation/count

Because country is needed for customer address and the AJAX request pulls that from the localisation/country controller.

Just enable access permission and disable modify permission for country.

Re: syntaxError:Unexpected tokenin JSON at position 0 when viewing a customer (and only when disable "localisation/count

Has nothing to do with file permissions. You can see in the XHR request it's hitting the localization/country controller. This error would also happen on the store/settings section as it expects permission to country. What page are you getting the error on? I suspect the page needs country to work.

Re: Write permissions on catalog/view/javascript directory

The default ownership of opencart/catalog/view/javascript directory set to root. So If I want to install a simple extension that copies files to that location, it fails with a permission denied error. I have to either change the ownership to www or add www to group rights. I can do this fine, but I...

OC 3.0.3.6, hasn't been out for years. Did you check for extra spaces in the form output? I would double check the form output see if anything sticks out.

Also state your PHP version.

Re: syntaxError:Unexpected tokenin JSON at position 0 when viewing a customer (and only when disable "localisation/count

Use Chrome Developer tools and check the XHR tab. See which URL is returning the error. Must be some Ajax request hitting that controller.

Re: [NOT SUPPORTED] add to cart alert errror undefine (Journal)

Judging by the missing Font awesome icons you have CORS issues. (e.g your config is setup as https://domain.com., but you are using https://www.domain.com

Plenty of topics here how to fix.

That will also cause the undefined error when adding to cart.

"this page isn't working" error
Usually a 500 error or redirect loop causes that. You need to check your server error logs.
