Re: Slideshow speed

Hi, my question is nearly identical and I was hoping the same slider.jquery.js would have an obvious spot for this but I'm currently blind to it if it's in there. Using the suggestion above it was easy to slow down the "transition". It appears to then hold on a slide for about 4 seconds before the n...

Re: Overwriting heading_title

Thanks for the Fix MHC! Just thought I'd note for others as "newbie" as I (really I'm not that new, just a jack of all trades so I consider myself PHP-intermediate, not at all fluent) When I first "added" the code to the bottom of the document it generated an error on the cart page (line 479). Inste...

Re: Text on my home page - not from the HTML Module

::) embarrassed but to be a good sport I'll share it in case someone else can't figure out how to edit text on their OpenCart pages. The text in question is generated within an "HTML Content Module" inserted above the slideshow. The text in question is the "Heading Title" which I mistook for functio...

Re: Text on my home page - not from the HTML Module

Hi IP_Cam not taken personally and I TOTALLY understand. It's hard when there isn't a lot of money involved and I have a hard time finding really cost effective support for the "little" things. (Things I think are little but maybe they aren't?) I'm always hoping there is someone who can pop a "That'...

Re: Text on my home page - not from the HTML Module

I'd love to do that but as this is a client project I am challenged on sharing that information in a public forum. Is there a private channel where I can send that information. I have no issues sharing the solution publicly of course. The text as described appears just below the default themes upper...

Text on my home page - not from the HTML Module

I know this is my bad and something I'd done historically incorrectly. I have text that appears on my home page, below the upper horizontal nav menu and above the first HTML text module. I looked all over in the admin screens and scanned the sites PHP/TPL files to see where the text is from and can'...

Re: Additional Alert Mail Issue

I'm in a similar situation and using 2.0.3.1 and while our store sends email alerts and contact forms to the main store admin email it doesn't appear to be sending at all to the additional Alert E-Mails. Is there a setting in admin that would prevent this from working? Is it a known issue? Is there ...

Re: Fatal error: require_once()... /index.php on line 21

Another appreciative OpenCart user. Same issue, this solution worked perfectly. Just updated the config.php files in the root and in the admin and BOOM! working. That path.php script made it very obvious where the problem was in terms of directory path. Thank you DL, CWS Webdesign and Evolve Hosting.

Re: Quick Tips to Minimize the install?

:good: Awesome response, it sounds like nearly as much work but more file-play risk "unless" someone is doing that on an ongoing basis (once you really know by habit where everything is) but that is a great summary! I'm no noob, maybe a semi-noob in some respects but I can handle what you described ...

Quick Tips to Minimize the install?

I am looking to do installations of opencart with little likelihood to engage international markets. There is a lot of UI clutter (in admin view) in the sense that while I may only ship to one country, there are hundreds in between me and the one I want to edit. If I remove localized content from th...

Re: Too many options breaking the system or...?

I thought this was a forum where we in the opencart user community can share info on known issues along with perhaps tips and suggestions. I'm looking to see if it is a known bug, not asking for it to be fixed for free nor am I seeking to have custom development issues resolved. Didn't mean to offend.

Too many options breaking the system or...?

My client has a LOT of options, his store sells custom baits (Fishing Lures) which have hundreds of potential color mixes, glitter mixes and scents. His older site was handling this fine (I think it was OC 0.9) but that host closed down without giving us time to get files nor any notice and I'm hopi...

Re: 404 Not Found Error

Do not forget, doing it that way, additional services rely on it. Fact. That's what I was thinking, my way worked in this context but there could be other areas where my way breaks but I wouldn't know until I got there. Thanks for the good Fact . GREATLY appreciated. :ok: Sometimes I prefer not to ...

Interesting, so changing line #24 would also have fixed this also, how is that better than the modification to line #30?

Re: 404 Not Found Error

Thanks OSXworx, that helped but now instead of a 404 error it is displaying the home page content of the root site without graphics or the css file linked? Wondering if there is something in the htaccess file (now correctly named as ".htaccess" which would more correctly route the page by seo-name t...

Re: 404 Not Found Error (w/SEO url enabled)

Before I go to far into monkeying around with this I'm hoping the forum can help. I'm hosting a client within a reseller shared environment on Bluehost (meh) and the SEO URL's aren't working. I verified with tech support that mod-rewrite is enabled. I also saw something on on a post for OC v1.5.x in...

Working with individual OpenCart elements

How to be selective about what appears on a given page? I successfully installed OpenCart, then added the AquaCart (<great support Kal!) :) responsive theme to it and all is well there. My client wanted a unique bordering element above and a navigation element to the left of the default store and I...
