Re: leave EXIF info on upload and in cache?

I don't believe there are any built in PHP functions to do that. You would have to work out the format and write it yourself or use a third-party library.

Re: SagePay installation problem.

That extension is not for version 2.x, you need to restore your files from your backup and just use the Sage Pay extensions that comes with 2.x.

Re: leave EXIF info on upload and in cache?

The PHP GD library OpenCart uses to resize the image won't support EXIF. If it's only a few image your could try resizing yourself and uploading with the correct filename. If you need automation, you'll have to look for another image library that support EXIF and get a developer to integrate it into...

Re: PHP 7.2 Support?

I've also noticed the pull request on GitHub could use the IV multiple times. An IV should only be used once.

Re: PHP 7.2 Support?

The pull request on GitHub will work and remove the PHP Warning about the Initialization Vector. However, it should be noted that in does not have any message authentication. So would more be susceptible to some types attacks.

Also the Initialization Vector could be used more than once.

Re: PHP 7.2 Support?

You need to do more then just replace system/library/encryption.php. As until the encryption is used you won't see the errors. The code below can be used to test. $original_message = 'Test message for encryption'; $encrypted_message = $this->encryption->encrypt($this->config->get('config_encryption'...

Re: PHP 7.2 Support?

That replacement for system/library/encryption.php is just wrong and will never work. You can read my explanation here. https://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?p=737337#p737337 If you did want an improved system/library/encryption.php, try looking at the two examples here. https://forum.opencart.co...

Re: Cannot edit order in admin panel OC 1.5.5.1

You could check your web browser's error console (usually F12) in case there is some sort of JavaScript error causing the problem. I've not managed to recreate the problem myself on 1.5.5.1, so I would imagine it's caused by some certain settings or an extension.

Re: Cannot edit order in admin panel OC 1.5.5.1

What shipping methods do you have enabled? Have you temporarily tried enabling a simple shipping method, such as "Flat Rate" to see if that shows when editing orders?

Re: Warning: Shipping method required!

There is a small chance that this is caused by the lack of cache control header in version 3. https://github.com/opencart/opencart/issues/7008

Try the changes here to see if it makes any difference.

Re: vulnerable?

If you are using 1.5.6.0, you should definitely upgrade to 1.5.6.4, as some of the changes were security related.

Remember to backup everything and do a test upgrade before upgrading a live store.

Re: v2.3.0.2 FTP TLS Error

Have you tried replacing the ftp_connect with ftp_ssl_connect? Is there any such function as ftp_ssl_login? You may also need to refresh your modifications cache.

In the php.ini and admin/php.ini files. You need remove the semicolon from the end of each line. So default_charset = UTF-8; To default_charset = UTF-8 If you are using cPanel with EasyApache 4 or similar. You may also need to login to your cPanel and go to Software -> MultiPHP INI Editor -> Editor ...

You can use both changes at the same time without any problems. Yes, that is the change I recommend.

Re: Guest Checkout works. Registered Account fails at Payment Method

Thanks for posting the link to the other post.

Both methods should fix caching issues at checkout. However the one you linked to won't help in the case where a customer adds a product to the cart then goes 'back' in their web browser, only to see the shopping cart is now showing empty.
