Re: Error while sending QUERY packet

This is quite a common occurrence, mysql servers will temporarily 'go away' during an update or perhaps an error situation while they restart.
It should not be down for more than a few minutes at a time and should not occur frequently, perhaps once every few months.

Re: Not Receiving Order Confirmation or New Order Alert Emails

Godaddy if you are using SMTP with their account details to send emails, otherwise it must be using php mail function so it would be bluehost.
Did you check logs?

Re: please help!! HTTP ERROR 500 on Opencart 2.3.0.2

The access denied means __construct command isn't working, most likely the username/password combination, but if you haven't changed anything yourself then it could be any of:- ($hostname, $username, $password, $database, $port) which are the 5 parameters shown in the error message. the 3rd of which...

Re: URGENT please help

Those timings point to sessions as per Pauls original post
You need to check with your hosting as there may be a peculiar setup, multi carts normally share the same settings seen in phpinfo()

Re: URGENT please help

It could be cache or session related. Switch off any cache extensions and/or check with hosting company if they have made any updates to hosting recently.

Re: Stock not auto-updating after upgrade to 2.3.0.2

Well if from mysql admin you dump table structure only for tables starting oc_product, we could compare for differences vs fresh install.
Howver, if it works fine for other payment gateway though, its probably payment gateway related instead.
I'm on mobile at moment so can't investigate.

Re: please help!! HTTP ERROR 500 on Opencart 2.3.0.2

Obscure that post straight away, it contains your db password in the error message. No it doesn't, the password is not "YES". Its not YES, that just saying that a password is specified as I said, its in the error message. If you are moderator Paul, please obscure code in error message, I am not rep...

Re: Live Preview

Do you mean an image that would be put on a product like a T-shirt or mug?
I google searched and found possible mods for this.

Re: please help!! HTTP ERROR 500 on Opencart 2.3.0.2

If you're lucky, this will be a temporary glitch.
Contact your hosting company if you've made no changes yourself.

Obscure that post straight away, it contains your db password in the error message. Change it as soon as you can. Anyone sharing your hosting server could access your db

Re: Stock not auto-updating after upgrade to 2.3.0.2

It works on 2.0.3.1 (my live store). I cant imagine its broken in 2.3.0.2 as there would be a lot more about it on these forums. In this case, I suspect there may be some remenant/difference in the database from the upgrade causing this issue. By following my steps above this should prove/disprove m...

Re: Stock not auto-updating after upgrade to 2.3.0.2

I would set up a fresh test store with 2.3.0.2 in a sub folder to make sure everything works on your server. Also try it with/without that stock mod.
Then I would try copying all the product related tables across to the test store and see if that breaks it and go from there.

Re: Not Receiving Order Confirmation or New Order Alert Emails

a) check your error logs
b) your hosting may have made an update that prevents spam emails and an opencart script may have been flagged as a false positive. You can check with your hosting or you could try changing the Mail settings to smtp in System > Settings > Mail

Re: Delayed inventory update causing overselling

That should be as simple as changing your db driver to mysqli in your root and admin config.php files

Code: Select all

define('DB_DRIVER', 'mysqli');
You might be as well to set up a test site and try to pinpoint and recreate the problem with the stock as I suspect you don't want to mess about with a live store.

Re: Delayed inventory update causing overselling

Actually, when I looked I remembered that the PayPal statuses regard the Payment Status Completed, not the Order Status, so yes it should go to Pending and as long as the Pending is ticked in the Processing Order Status as you have, it should work correctly!?! We had a problem a while back with stoc...

Re: Delayed inventory update causing overselling

Re: stock Looking at PayPal payments standard completed status, why is this set to processing? This may cause an issue. Does the stock problem only occur with this gateway? Why have you got two PayPal options anyway? Re: SSL Have you got any mods that force SSL? With ocmods you must now refresh the ...

Re: Delayed inventory update causing overselling

Sorry, but I think all that is a red herring. What is your Processing Order Status in System > Settings > Option? If this is not pending or whatever the successful payment status is for your chosen payment gateway, you will have this problem, as it is waiting for the order status to be manually upda...

That link is page not found *edit* - Oh I see you were pointing out that very thing! Well I guess they took it down as it relates to 2.2 my point was its now integrated in 2.3.0.2 so the OP may have more success upgrading to that as per Paul Feakins original reply. A lot of folks are reluctant to up...

Re: OCMOD problem

I think its more that the upgrade script prior to 2.2 was very poor. Then after 2.2 was released, QPhoria improved the upgrade script, see https://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=181&t=158954&start=80#p610303 I believe this was then committed in Github and so is already part of in the 2.3.0.2 rel...
