Core files mod, will this cause unexpected errors?

I was thinking of a way, how to display price in default and selected currency and checkout with only default currency. Realized there was simple solution to my problem, it works on local copy of opencart. However i'm not sure if it will cause some unexpected problems or even abuse, a bit scary to a...

Re: Google analytics goals and SSL

Thanks, but i finally figured out the problem, it was rather simple. First, old posts about opencart and goals with SSL confused me (that information was for old google code). Yesterday i found information, that current google code detects automatically if it's secured connection or not. What caused...

Google analytics goals and SSL

I'm not sure if it's exactly the reason, but nothing else comes to mind. Recently i've installed SSL support and added Google Analytics code, created a goal with url "/shop/index.php?route=checkout/success". Opencart installation is located in domain/shop/ and 'success' page opens correctly. But wha...

SSL, did i install correctly? Slightly worried.

I'm not too sure if i did everything right, on surface it looks like everything works properly. I've created key and certificate, which my provider installed for me, then i've changed config.php in main directory and in my admin folder. I changed only http to https. Did i miss something? // HTTPS de...

Re: Japanese tea shop on opencart 1.5, custom template

SSL enabled :) Though if not for StartSSL this would be way too expensive addition for a small shop like mine. Thanks for tip, this might bring some extra customers ::)

Re: Japanese tea shop on opencart 1.5, custom template

I like it. Clean, neat, and crisp! Good choice of colors. One thing I will mention is that I did not see SSL (https) when I went to account or checkout pages. That is a personal choice, however I will only order from stores that have SSL. Thanks, personally i don't know much about security of webpa...

Japanese tea shop on opencart 1.5, custom template

I wanted to separate shop from main content, so it will be more easy to add articles, at first i thought about using some of available templates. But then i tried to make my own and it was actually quite easy to fit design of my page inside opencart template. Opencart source sure is easy to understa...

Re: OpenCart 1.5.1 Bug Thread

Xsecrets wrote: That is pretty much how all affiliate systems work. The affiliate gets credit for all sales till the cookies expires.
Thanks, now this clarifies everything.

Is it possible to change cookie expiration time? Or better create separate topic for this, now it's off topic here :)

Re: OpenCart 1.5.1 Bug Thread

Is it a bug or a feature? After completed order with affiliate code and one successful commission all next orders also receive commission. As i understand, it should work only for one order unless person clicks an affiliate link again. Tried on FF5.0 Quick way to check is to copy the product add to...

Only first. But still don't get, why shipping cost also included in affiliate profit calculation :-\ Hmm, did some testing, and the +comission button appears on the second test order too. ??? Yes, I have confirmed payment, and paid out comission for the first order. Can it be that commission is tri...

Re: OC 1.5, Affiliate link to index page

So, as I was wondering this myself and wondering why adding the affiliate code to the end of the URL woudn't work I went in se...

its not a cookie. affiliate id's are linked to the end of a product url. for you to share with others in order to receive a commisson. If you are logged in as an affiliate then yes, all products have your affiliate id. But this isnt the case for a customer. This is just for you to share links to ot...

Re: OC 1.5, Affiliate link to index page

Thanks for answers, was a bit busy. Interesting, i thought it would be possible, since it already uses cookie.
