Re: [SOLVED]Help! JSON error when editing orders

In my experience this is often caused by permissions issues.

The first thing to test is test with a user account that has 100% full permissions, and see if the problem goes away.

Often it is localization settings, but I've also had problems with openbay being required for some reason.

Re: repeated error

You have some sort of extension that is trying to get locations from someones IP address. It is accessing a 3rd-party website to do it, and that 3rd-party website is now rejecting the request.

Disable that extension.

Re: adding second email address

If I'm understanding you properly, then in your store settings, go to the mail tab. At the bottom is a field called additional alert email.

Check for first time login

Hi guys, Client asked me today to display a Modal when the customer first signs in for that day -- until dismissed. I see oc_customer_login table, but reading the code it seems that table might be just logging *incorrect* login attempts? Or is date_updated the most recent successful login and the co...

Re: [OPENCART 2.3.0.2] Different price for different customers.

Order Products module won't display different prices catalog side before an order is made. The long and short of it is you need a way for every customer to see different prices for each product (or each category/manufacturer/whatever)

Re: [OPENCART 2.3.0.2] Different price for different customers.

I am doing exactly this for a client. It is a pretty involved project. The long and the short of it is you need to create a database table that stores a price modifier for each customer. So customer #1 has a modifier of 50%, and therefore gets his products half off. Customer #2 we dont like, he has ...

Re: Remove Decimals From Prices

The database itself is designed to hold a number with four decimal places, and if you give it a whole number like 123, the database still stores 123.0000 The OC code then grabs that 123.0000 number and formats it to the appropriate human-readable currency via the currency library in the system folde...

Re: How to extend opencart 2.1.0.2 to work with 6 decimal places?

This is coded into the database itself. The oc_product SQL table is instructed to store 4 decimal places. I think you'd probably be okay if you changed it there. I'm trying to think of downstream effects of that and nothing are coming to mind, but you never really know until you do it and test it a ...

Re: Editing order becomes unresponsive for nearly two minutes

2 minutes is a very very long time... but I have had issues where the page seemed unresponsive, and the issue is that opencart is running every product image through a resizer. If you have a lot of products being displayed, or simply very high-resolution images, it might have to chew for a while. If...

Re: I see others customers details at checkout 2.3.0.2 OC and Journal2 quick Checkout

Something must have modified your model call. Have you touched the code? Try restoring the code to stock opencart if so. If not, start disabling stuff until you find the culprit. That data comes from the database, it's got to be grabbing the wrong stuff from somewhere. It shouldn't be too hard to fi...

Re: User Group error

I solved this issue just a few days ago.

The javascript on that page calls up extension/openbay and updates something. I'm not entirely sure what it's doing, or whether it is an error, but that is the issue.

The solution is give the user group 'access' to extension/openbay.

Re: Call a variable in a controller from another controller

if I'm following you correctly, all you need to do is load that model into your new controller with $this->load->model('whatever/whatever') and then just run that model call again to get your variable data.
